Dr. Chandan rather than rushing through the procedures, is thorough and you know that she is there to serve your needs and listen to you. She works closely with her patients creating a life long dental care plan which encourages daily attention to dental health and promotes healthy teeth and gums. She has a special affinity to children and makes them feel comfortable and interested in receiving dental care. Dr. Chandan is also passionate in serving the aging population with the dental care they deserve making them comfortable and trusting of oral health. She is diligent in her pursuit to stay up to date with the latest in dental procedures and state-of-the-art technology. She believes in preventative dentistry and is highly interested in aesthetic dentistry making your smile beautiful.
Dr. Chandan obtained her Bachelors in Dental surgery from India. She then pursued her DMD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. During her schooling in Pittsburgh, she was passionate in serving the special needs patient population and was an active volunteer at the MOM (Mission of Mercy). She grew up in Toronto, Canada where she received education from the best schools and was a part of various multicultural community activities and charitable foundations. She is learning Spanish and is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Punjabi. Outside of work, Dr. Chandan enjoys spending time with her three brothers and parents. She recently got married to her long term fiance and best friend Gaurav Patel. They are a close knit family who enjoy going outdoors- kayaking, canoeing, fishing and camping. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, yoga and watching sports. She is passionate about advancing and supporting dentistry as a whole as a part of the local dental committee- PDA and the ADA.
Dr. Cara Maloney is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and is thrilled to be joining Chandan Dental Associates. During dental school, she spent time serving the special needs population and the community in Pittsburgh whenever she could. She loves making her patients feel comfortable and understood so they can have the best experience possible. She enjoys empowering her patients to understand their oral health and helping them feel confident about their smiles. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys hiking with her family, seeing musicals in the city and cheering on the football team of her alma mater whenever she can

The dentist that my family had was Dr Bailey who retired. We were transferred over to Chandan dental associates. Everytime I've been in there I've had a different dentist. The part that really gets me is that I had a previous cavity that dr Bailey filled and the new dentist told me they wanted to touch it up even though it was causing me no problems. So last January I let them "touch it up". I ended up getting severe sensitivity that caused me to have to go to an endodontist to get a root canal. Not to mention that I had to pay over $150 to get the root canal and will have to pay $300-500 to get a crown put in out of pocket for something I am not even responsible for causing. THEN. Last Thursday I went to their office for a cleaning where they told me I had another spot on the tooth behind the one they already messed up and they wanted to fill it. I was very sceptical about letting them do it so I made an appointment at a different office where this dentist told me I had no cavities and even went over my X-rays that showed nothing.

Alyson and Ted were awesome, they kept the environment very fun for the circumstances kept me laughing and making sure I was ok along the way with having some fillings done highly recommend going to chandan dental

They do a great job, care about their patients and take the time to answer questions. I'm in and out in 30 minutes for a cleaning with my favorite hygienist, Brooke. Highly recommend!

He "Thad" was doing a hard procedure and shredded my cheek up with the drill, I understood it was a very difficult tooth to reach I told him it was OK and then I asked him was there something you could've done that was better and he proceeded to tell me he could've used silver filling instead of the white and it would've been easier with less drilling I wish he would've asked me that question before he put me through all that that's my only complaint. I would have opted for silver!

My experience with Dr Chandan and her associates has been very positive. She is very professional yet personable. Dr Charlton was a 'very hard act to follow' but Dr Chandan is doing a great job creating her own presence in our area with her new expertise.

My wisdom tooth got chipped and it was stabbing inside my cheek. I was in too much pain so they fit me in the next day of my call. I was gonna get my tooth pulled out. But Dr. Chandan did great job in ground down that sharp part of my tooth and did filling. She is very calm, listen to you without hurry and gives you best advice for you. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Listen y'all, i HATE the dentist. HATE hate BUT I LOVE Dr Chandan. I trust her fully and my mouth needs a ton of work. She sits down with you and goes over options and tells you what she thinks is best but doesn't pressure you. The entire office staff is kind and caring.

Dr Charlton put a crown in when I was 14. It fell out at 21 and now again at 24. The first time when I was 21, he replaced it on the house. Now that he handed the business over, they will not honor the work even though I am to understand he has a relationship with the current owners. So two failed crowns in a 3 year span and they think I should be financially liable. Terrible business.
