Comprehensive, affordable dental care for all ages has been a mainstay in Centreville for over 30 years. In 1983, Dr Richard S. Shields set up this practice in order to provide honest, comprehensive dentistry in a welcoming environment. Dr. Chad Thorpe began working with Dr. Shields in 2013. After 2 successful years of associateship, Dr. Chad and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Libby Thorpe, took ownership with the shared goal of providing excellent care to all who walk through the door. With Drs. Thorpe and their amazing team, you will experience modern dentistry in a caring, friendly environment. Our mission is to help each patient attain a beautiful, functional smile, and enjoy great oral health for years. We educate all our patients on the important connection between dental health and total body health and well-being.

  • Dr. Chad ThorpeDentistDr. Chad ThorpeDentistA native of Southwestern Michigan, I grew up on Diamond Lake in Cassopolis. With apologies to native Michigan, I chose to complete my four years of additional training at Ohio State University, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. During dental school, I spent much time at various public health centers in underserved communities. In 2010, I traveled to Africa to provide dental treatment to people in Kampala, Uganda. It is my hope that with a positive attitude, passionate concern for patients, and commitment to constant improvement in the dental profession I can help to create a wonderful experience at CFD.

Later in life, I decided to go Everest Institute in Kalamazoo, where I graduated as a Medical Administrative Assistant. I truly enjoy working here at Centreville Family Dentistry.
