Dr. Elton Chan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2004. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Chan completed his pediatric residency in 2006. He received his specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from New York University, where he served as Chief Resident and was clinical faculty to dental students. Dr. Chan also has hospital training from Rose F. Kennedy Hospital, NYU Tisch Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center, and Bellevue Hospital where he treated children under general anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and IV and conscious sedation.
Dr. Chan is an active member of various professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Berni Tang received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of Toronto. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree with high honors (top 5 %) in 2004, as well as her pediatric specialty training at New York University College of Dentistry in 2006. During her specialty training, she was also clinical faculty to dental students. Dr. Tang has hospital training from Rose F. Kennedy Hospital, NYU Tisch Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center, and Bellevue Hospital. She has extensive experience in treating children under Nitrous oxide and conscious sedation.
Dr. Tang is an active member of various professional organizations including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (Omega Chapter), American Dental Association,New York State Dental Association, New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Tang was born in Vancouver and spent her school years in Canada and Hong Kong. Her interests include ice skating where she skated competitively in Hong Kong. Dr. Tang is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is married with two children and enjoys swimming and playing the piano.

Both of my children age 5 and 1 like this dental office. Both Dr. Chan and Dr. Tang are professional and patience. They always explained to us my children situations and gave their best recommendations. Receptionists and doctor assistant are friendly and welcoming. Office is always clean. Children are calm here under the nice environment. The big TV and toddler sofa chairs are big plus. They are good with appointment, almost no wait time. Strongly recommended!!!

I tooked my 10 year old daughter to Central Pediatric Dentistry for the first time and I'm glad that my daughter is finally happy to see the dentist again. The office is very neat and clean. My daughter was seen by Dr. Berni Tang. Dr. Tang is a very caring and professional doctor. She is very patient and has a very soothing voice. She explained my daughter's treatment plans to me clearly and answered all my questions patiently. My daughter was very relaxed during the whole entire visit.
