Dr. Sirena Hsieh (pronounced shay) grew up in nearby Holmdel, New Jersey. She graduated from Princeton University and continued her education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with high honors. She then completed her post-graduate orthodontic specialty training at Harvard and Boston Childrens Hospital, where she earned her Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with high honors. Dr. Hsieh is currently faculty at Harvard, where she serves as both clinical professor and lecturer to the orthodontic residents in training.
While at Harvard, Dr. Hsiehs research interest has been the osseointegration of esthetic zirconia implants using human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Her research has earned her the Academy of Osseointegrations Award for Best Scientific Presentation. She is also involved with bone research in osteoarthritis, which was published in the American Journal of Pathology.
In her spare time, Dr. Hsieh enjoys running, traveling, and romping around the wilderness with her dog, Chili. She is also involved in community service. In Boston, Dr. Hsieh was the director of the Bridge Over Troubled Waters Dental Clinic a clinic serving homeless, runaway, and other at-risk youth. She has also traveled to India to provide dental care at the Shri Ram Ashram Orphanage in Haridwar, India. In addition, Dr. Hsieh currently serves on the Princeton University alumni schools committee as an admissions interviewer.
Finally, the most important thing you need to know about Dr. Hsieh is that she truly cares about doing whats best for you and your child. She only performs necessary treatment and only at the appropriate time. If you have hit the genetic jackpot and dont need braces, she will let you know honestly. This entire office is absolutely wonderful! Dr Hsieh and her entire staff are nothing short of amazing. They are helpful, informative and caring. I have never been in such a friendly dental/orthodontic office before and would recommend them to everyone! My daughters braces are on less than a year, she's progressing beautifully and they are just wonderful and helpful every step of the way! Thank you Dr Hsieh and Central Jersey Orthodontics!

Without being too emotional, Central Jersey Orthodontics has been the best. Everyone has been so helpful and kind. Tanya and Dr Hsieh listened to me, genuinely cared about my concerns, answered all of my questions, and made what could have been unpleasant so exciting. We were told about Dr. Siena Hsieh from our kids dentist. The staff is absolutely amazing and so friendly. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. Dr. Hsieh is sweet, kind and very knowledgeable. She is amazing with the kids and has honestly transformed my kids mouth. We have never had a bad experience and my kids love going to to her office.

Amazing experience! After speaking with my child's pediatric dentist I was hoping for another opinion. I was referred to Dr. Hsieh's office by a friend in the dental field and they were all AMAZING. All off her staff (especially Tory ) explained everything to my 5year old daughter prior to doing any X-rays and calmed her nerves dramatically. I am so impressed with this office! Before, during and after Dr. Hsieh was empathetic, patient and knowledgeable when it came to my daughters care. We followed up after her braces were removed after a routine trip to the dentist and other providers. Dr. Hsieh took the time to explain to me the various treatment options. We were recommended by friends to go for a consultation with Dr. Hsieh. My mother is an oral surgeon and she came with me to the consultation. Both of us were floored by the amount of time that Dr Hsieh spent explaining every detail in my children's x-rays and why she believed certain methods would or would not be needed in due time. When we left her office my mother said to me that she would whole heartedly recommend Dr. Hsieh's practice to any of her patients seeking an orthodontist, and I couldn't agree more!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hsieh and her team. They consistently went above and beyond in every aspect of my experience. Dr.Hsieh is extremely thorough and informative. I never once felt rushed out. The assistants were so attentive and patient. I regularly was with Amanda who was always fabulous! I could not be happier with my results. I cannot recommend Dr. Hsieh enough!

Best orthodontist around! My daughter just finished her second set of braces and was having issues with her retainer. They had her come in on their no patient day with in 20 minutes of me calling and spend a good amount of time to help her! No rushing and they answered all our questions thoroughly no matter how silly! All the staff is so amazing and thorough.

What can I say about Dr. Sirena Hsieh and her staff. All amazing, caring, helpful, I can go on for days. Love them all. Dr. Hsieh is such an amazing and methodical perfectionist. She's not happy unless you're happy and most times her standards are even higher than her patient's standards. The only orthodontist you should consider, adults or for your kids. Dr. Hsieh and all of the staff at Central Jersey Orthodontics are nothing short of amazing! I've never waited more than 5 minutes for my daughter to be taken back for her appointment. Dr. Hsieh explains everything to the kids in a way that makes them comfortable and asks their permission before using any new instruments or objects that may appear scary. My daughter can be shy and gets nervous easily but she's always 100% comfortable here. I recommend Dr. Hsieh to anyone in need of orthodontics!

Absolutely love this office. They have all new technology I have never seen before. But most importantly Dr. Hsieh was completely thorough, transparent & genuinely cared about every part of the process. She explains every little detail that you want to know. I have never been to an establishment with a sweeter staff. Everyone will make you feel welcomed because they are genuinely all caring and friendly people. I was terrified of getting my teeth fixed again but now I am so excited and am positive that I am in the best hands!!!! So thankful I came here

So happy this is where we are having braces and pallet expander done. The office staff are so welcoming and Dr Hsieh is so patient and wonderful with my very tentative daughter. We also love that the Dr let's her doggie visit the patients who need a little distraction...it really helps!
