Dr. Sirena Hsieh (pronounced shay) grew up in nearby Holmdel, New Jersey. She graduated from Princeton University and continued her education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with high honors. She then completed her post-graduate orthodontic specialty training at Harvard and Boston Childrens Hospital, where she earned her Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with high honors. Dr. Hsieh is currently faculty at Harvard, where she serves as both clinical professor and lecturer to the orthodontic residents in training.
While at Harvard, Dr. Hsiehs research interest has been the osseointegration of esthetic zirconia implants using human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Her research has earned her the Academy of Osseointegrations Award for Best Scientific Presentation. She is also involved with bone research in osteoarthritis, which was published in the American Journal of Pathology.
In her spare time, Dr. Hsieh enjoys running, traveling, and romping around the wilderness with her dog, Chili. She is also involved in community service. In Boston, Dr. Hsieh was the director of the Bridge Over Troubled Waters Dental Clinic a clinic serving homeless, runaway, and other at-risk youth. She has also traveled to India to provide dental care at the Shri Ram Ashram Orphanage in Haridwar, India. In addition, Dr. Hsieh currently serves on the Princeton University alumni schools committee as an admissions interviewer.
Finally, the most important thing you need to know about Dr. Hsieh is that she truly cares about doing whats best for you and your child. She only performs necessary treatment and only at the appropriate time. If you have hit the genetic jackpot and dont need braces, she will let you know honestly. Tanya is the absolute best person to have on your side. She makes my son feel so comfortable and explains the entire process step by step. She puts my son at ease with her conversation and funny jokes. Everyone in the office is always pleasant and welcoming. Definitely recommend this Orthodontics office!

I have had braces as a child and when my teeth started to shift later in life, I found Dr. Hsieh. I cannot say enough great things about her and her staff! From the consultation, all the way to the end of my treatment, they explained every bit of the process. Even when there had to be a change in my plan, Dr. Hsieh explained the options in depth and made sure to listen to my thoughts. She is truly a perfectionist who wants every smile she treats to be the absolute best! The girls were so conscientious of any discomfort or questions I had during the visits and I grew to really love coming and having conversations with them. I 100% recommend CJO to anyone, young or older.

It's tough to put into a review exactly how comfortable I am going to Dr Hsieh and her staff. This is my third orthodontist over the course of my life, and easily the best. She and her staff are caring, knowledgeable, but ultimately very invested in what they're doing. When my fiance was considering getting work done to fix the mediocre job that her dentist did with a minimum-effort Invisalign implementation, the doc not only spoke with her for over an hour during her (free!) consultation, but then ended up staying after the office had closed to continue answering questions. You can tell the Dr and her staff thoroughly review each case to offer all the possible options, rather than throwing a "one-size fits all" solution as many others are likely to do. I ended up paying less with this office (vs my dentist's recommendation) for a retainer, and ended up with one that not only kept my teeth from reverting, but even improved them slightly! You really can't go wrong here, wholeheartedly recommend this office. P.S. If you get Tanya to do impressions of your teeth, feel free to joke around with her, she's a great sport.

Dr Hsieh and her staff were very friendly throughout my son's entire journey with his braces. They made both of us feel at ease yet were professional at the same time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs braces.

My son has been in great hands since the first day. Every single person from Dr. Hsieh to each member of the team has always been patient and kind. Every question or concern was always addressed with patience. He was always treated as if he was their number one patient. I never had one issue whether it was getting an appointment, billing question, broken equipment replacement or just a neurotic parent question. Having two offices centrally locates was extremely convenient when making appointments. They are extremely accommodating. My son was comfortable and at ease during every visit, never nervous or worried. The office is clean and modern. Their care of him during COVID put my mind at ease. I was not worried having him treated because of their protocols and thorough screening process and enhanced precautions. Plus his teeth look AMAZING. I could not be happier!! I will be using this great team for my next son's orthodontic treatment. I highly recommend Central Jersey Orthodontics.

We have been working with Dr. Hsieh since 2016. She is treating our sons, currently ages 13 and 11. I have been very impressed by both Dr. Hsieh and her staff. Both of our boys have had complex dental issues and Dr. Hsieh has been very detailed in her explanations to us and to our children. She is very patient in showing them exactly how she is working with them and takes the time to answer all of their questions. As a result, they have been very motivated in complying with wearing their devices. I also want to note that in recent weeks, due to Covid-19, Dr. Hsieh has been in contact with us via virtual visits and conversations to ensure both boys are progressing as planned. I highly recommend Central Jersey Orthodontics.

Whole braces process for my daughter went very smoothly! She just recently got them off and they look great. High quality service, reasonable prices, whole staff is very friendly and there's always a very short waiting time. Overall would recommend!
