I have taken my daughter to CIO for her braces and now her retainers. The Doctors did a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable, explaining the process as she went through each phase and we could not be happier with how they turned out. The office staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I went to Central Iowa Orthodontics on several occasions before I moved out of Iowa. I was very impressed by their patience, professionalism, and their ability to explain the procedure and costs. I would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

I had a wonderful experience at Central Iowa Orthodontics. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I had all my questions answered and was provided the highest quality of customer care.

Having worked at Central Iowa orthodontics for 40 years, I have intimate knowledge about the employees, doctors, and the mission of this practice. CIO is committed to providing the highest quality of orthodontic services to as many patients as possible. Any complaints about a long waiting list for governmental insurance patients is unfair in so far as very few orthodontic practices in Iowa even accept such insurance plans. CIO is willing to do so because of our commitment to the community and doctors who refer to us. Multiple employees have been at CIO for nearly 4 decades, which makes the practice amongst the most experienced professionals that you will find anywhere. Nearly every patient we treat has been referred to us by yet another satisfied patient. The doctors and staff at CIO will go to the moon and back in an effort to deliver the highest quality healthcare.

Called to schedule an appointment for my son and first question I was asked is what insurance he had. Not what does he need to be seen for or if he was having any pain or reason for visit. I was then told they do take his insurance but can't schedule him because they don't want to see patients with that insurance for now and that I could try to call back in Jan!!! Not sure what kind of office this is being a provider for an insurance but then refuses service to the patient. I would not recommend being that they look at you as a $ instead of a patient who needs care.

From the front desk to the assistants to the doctors & even the lab techs behind the scenes - we had a wonderful experience with Central Iowa Orthodontics. We'll be bringing the rest of our kids to this practice for ortho treatment!

This practice has no regard for patient privacy or decency. They will do what they want regardless of patient request or feedback. Do not go here if you want to be a partner in your care. They don't care about you as an person or a patient.

Would be 5 stars but I don't expect to wait 40+ minutes just for someone to apply my top brace wire

I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience than the one I've had with CIO. Once my appointments end, I will miss getting to see the staff. They always are very kind and professional and make sure I have plenty of supplies. Likewise Dr. Hartman provides clear information and manages to answer my questions before I even have a chance to ask.

Incompetent front office staff. Doctors are nice but had treatment delayed more than one because they cannot seem to fax a treatment letter to the correct dentist.

Would give 5 stars but staff on the counter when on the phone call with me kinda not nice , I even remember who is she her voice her face every month I check in for my daughter, but the real person when check-in talking different so me

Highly recommend Dr. Hartman not only is my teeth looking better and better as time goes on with braces he takes his time with you and is very instructional..what a wonderful Doctor!!!
