I have taken my daughter to CIO for her braces and now her retainers. The Doctors did a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable, explaining the process as she went through each phase and we could not be happier with how they turned out. The office staff has always friendly and helpful.

I went to Central Iowa Orthodontics on several occasions before I moved out of Iowa. I was very impressed by their patience, professionalism, and their ability to explain the procedure and costs. I would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

My daughter got braces here. They set up a payment plan. They closed in 2020 for a couple of months and I did not make any payments. I called a couple months later and tried to make a payment. They told me that I could not make a payment because they had already sent the balance due to collections. This was just a few days after I had received a bill from them. I paid the collections company in full when I received the bill. I later had a roommate that got braces and did not pay her bill. More on that later. I was okay and understanding enough that I took my other daughtertoget her braces put on. They offered me the same financing option that they gave me for my first daughter. They put spacers on her 2 weeks before she was supposed to get braces. The day before she was scheduled to get her braces on, they called and said that my first account had gone to collections and my FORMER roommate had her bill go to collections, they wanted $6500 paid in full before the appointment the next day. I am a single father and do not usually have that kind of money sitting around, nor am I capable of coming up with it in 24 hours. If they were not going to offer me financing, they should have told me that at the consultation and not the day before her appointment!

I got my braces through the ankeny office in 2016. Numerous times throughout that process it was shared that because my family had just spent upwards of 5k on braces that I would get a free retainer in the event I lost it or it broke. However that was only true the first time and after that I would be responsible for the cost. Well when I called back 5 years later it was rather easy for them to not honor that. It will be $190 per piece so $380 for a full retainer regardless on if it was the first time or not. The receptionist was nice but said thats up to the Dr to decide if they waive the fee or not which seems like a weird stipulation.

I take my daughter her for her braces. The Dr. is very nice. I can't say the same for the front office staff. They aren't very "friendly" so to speak at all, and for some reason I just feel like they are a little judgmental of people. I don't know, just my experience. Just get a could feeling from the front desk women. I generally think of front office staff acting "friendly", smiling, and giving off a good vibe"

I went in for a consultation on Thursday November 1st and I was not impressed or pleased with my visit. Dr. Conrad and the staff are super nice but he only talked to me for less than 10 minutes and they wanted me to get impressions, pictures, and X-rays done before telling me exactly how much the price of braces would be. I'm not sure if the impressions and pictures were part of the free consultation, but why would I pay to get that done without knowing an exact price for my trestement? The consultation also took place in an open area where there were other families looking at me during our "consultation". I did not feel comfortable asking any of my questions about my teeth and treatment with other people looking at me. I wish they would've have taken me into a separate private room to discuss more comfortably.

2 of my children are patients at Central Iowa Ortho and we have had nothing but great experiences there. The staff is kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They have several locations around the metro so it's very convenient to make appointments. Parents are always welcome to come back with their kids, and they do a great job of explaining the care needed for the braces and appliances used during treatment. They also have a lot of different payment options and are very flexible. I would recommend Central Iowa Ortho to everyone! Dr. Rasool is the best!
