Dr. Haarman was raised near Strasburg, IL, and graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg in 1993. He received his bachelors degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois in 1999. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, graduating in 2003. He graduated Magma Cum Laude and is a member of OKU, a dental honors fraternity. He was a resident at a trial dental program at St. Louis University Childrens Hospital prior to returning to the Effingham, IL, area to practice general dentistry. He moved to Decatur in 2006.
Dr. Haarman is involved in the Decatur Dental Society, serving in many roles, including Vice President. He sits on the Moultrie County Board of Health. Dr. Haarman is also an active member in the Taylorville Kiwanis Club.

We love Bob, the dog They are very friendly and always makes sure that you have an appointment. Also make sure you takes your medicine. The place is very clean. Love all of them there.

They have great expertise in making the patient comfortable with their kindness, courtesy, and knowledge. The staff is friendly and accomodating. They have beautiful new facilities with the latest in technology. I'm glad I found this site to express my satisfaction.

Went for a consult on a future procedure which just did not feel right. I am glad I did and received exceptional current and future plans given my situation. The staff was professional and friendly. The dentist, Dr. Harmond is a very good communicator and gives excellent current and future advice.
