Dr. Haarman was raised near Strasburg, IL, and graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg in 1993. He received his bachelors degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois in 1999. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, graduating in 2003. He graduated Magma Cum Laude and is a member of OKU, a dental honors fraternity. He was a resident at a trial dental program at St. Louis University Childrens Hospital prior to returning to the Effingham, IL, area to practice general dentistry. He moved to Decatur in 2006.
Dr. Haarman is involved in the Decatur Dental Society, serving in many roles, including Vice President. He sits on the Moultrie County Board of Health. Dr. Haarman is also an active member in the Taylorville Kiwanis Club.

Fabulous, professional staff. I have always hated going to the dentist, but the people in this place always warmly welcome me. If something hurts, I just have to mention it and they make it a point to keep things more comfortable. I highly recommend them!

I just finished an other cleaning today. Tonia (unsure on spelling) was the dental hygienist who worked on me. Tonia has worked on me before. Tonia has always been competent and a pleasant personality to be around. I feel comfortable with her working on me. No wait time I was in and out
