TWICE Dr. Ortiz started a dental procedure on my son without properly confirming that the area was numb. TWO DIFFERENT PROCEDURES. She just began extracting a tooth and drilling a cavity. He was in pain, and if I was not in the room she would have proceeded anyway. She was irritated at and dismissive of my questions. Beware!

THE Family Dentistry! Dr.'s Ortiz ARE family, and they treat their customers like family too. They are very caring, very thorough, and make the entire experience virtually painless. They were the first dentistry my daughter had ever been to, and immediately quelled any anxieties she might have ever had; even as a kid getting teeth extracted, they set her at ease. And, really, that's their M.O.. I too have a lot of work done the past few years, and, truly, they always do excellent, pain-free work. I highly recommend this office.

I was given an appt for today about 6 mo ago. However no one called me to confirm yesterday as they usually do. So I called this am and was told someone had called my cellphone yesterday and left a message. There was no message. However, that person said to come in at 1:30 for an appt as I had recorded in my Calendar. They were closed until 1:30 for lunch. So a group gathered at the door waiting. I arrived at 1:15. I waited in the car until the door opened as I cant stand long. All (about 8 people) had signed in ahead of me - all for a 1:30 appt. everyone was called back eventually - even a lady arriving and signing in after me. After waiting more than 45 min a lady came out to ask if I was waiting for someone! I said "I'm waiting for ME! I have an appointment!" Then she said "Oh yes! You'll be next!" There were still 2 women sitting in the waiting room speaking Spanish to each other. I didn't know if I was after them or what. Finally, after an hour of waiting, I went to the receptionist and asked how much longer it would be. She said they had to clean a room for me and sent a girl to a back room to clean. I sat back down for a few moments, and then thought I am NOT going to wait for over an HOUR to be called back for a simple cleaning. So I told the receptionist to cancel my appt, and no I did not want to rebook! My opinion is there must have been the initial mixup on my appt to begin with. I feel they covered by saying I was next after more than an hour wait when in reality that they were "working me in" when they goofed my appt time. I've been going there for several years. They did 6 crowns for me along with a root canal in the past. So I am not a "newbie"! But I will NOT go back to be treated like a walk-in when I have an appt. And I hate it when so many patients are booked for the exact same time. Beware of booking with this dentistry!

First time here my son has been to the dentist once prior no serious issues he is 5 and on the autism spectrum. I made the receptionist aware and was assured he would have a pleasant experience. Not the case. The dentist is not fun for adults let alone kids. He was anxious and scared and 45 min later after our scheduled appointment was told he would not be seen at all as soon as we sat in the chair. Did not even attempt to make him comfortable and referred me to another dentist. I asked what the difference would be in environments (its more colorful) and if he just felt uncomfortable even looking in his mouth no tools or xrays (he said no). Completely inhumane and incompetent.

I absolutely HATE going to the dentist (due to prior poor experiences). I went to this office today and had a great experience. They knew I was nervous and everyone made me very comfortable. All of the staff I met were great. I will definitely go back.

This place is so expensive. I needed two extractions, both upper front teeth, easy peasy. My insurance covers one extraction for free. They still wanted $320 to extract one. I can't afford to pay this man's dental school payment this month.
