Under the leadership of Dr. Keith Hollinger, Central Connecticut Orofacial Pain & Sleep Medicine consists of a team of doctors who specialize in helping patients overcome persistent sleep problems and chronic head, jaw, and neck.
Coming from a variety of disciplines including physical therapy, psychology, and dentistry, were able to provide the answers and solutions that patients need to restore their quality of life. Issues dealing with sleep and orofacial pain are largely misdiagnosed in this country, leading many to simply treat the symptoms while the root problem goes unchecked. Here, we know how to find the underlying cause of so many issues ranging from chronic headaches to sleep apnea, and then we can provide proven, non-invasive, and drug-free solutions.
Originally from Alabama, Dr. Hollinger grew up in Agawam and recently moved to Rocky Hill, CT with his wife Laura and their five children. He has been improving patients lives for 25 years and counting.
He attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst before moving on to achieve his dental degree at Tufts University. He has also undergone additional training in several areas, including sleep medicine, TMD therapy, orofacial pain, and orthodontics.
After noticing a high-correlation between chronic pain and sleep problems, and how often both are not properly treated, he decided to open this practice to help serve a severely unmet need in the community.
Today, he is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Valley District Dental Society, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and the International Association of Orthodontics. His favorite part of his job is being able to help patients with a wide variety of problems in order to drastically improve lives.
Our team includes a wide range of specialists from various disciplines, and this is what enables our practice to solve so many different kinds of problems. Each member is a fantastic physician in their own right, but when we come together, were able to form more comprehensive treatment plans and help patients get the solutions they need in even less time. Had an excellent first visit. Very friendly office staff and Dr. Hollinger is so informative and nice. I also appreciate that he does his best to keep the cost down for TMD treatment. Highly recommend.

Dr Hollinger is awesome! So are the front desk staff. He helped me work on my posture and suggested jaw stretches that help. Most TMJ specialists don't bill insurance for you but they do. I'm excited to get my custom made night guard and to live pain free some day soon.

I adore this place, it is legitimately the single best experience I have ever had with medical professionals in my longer-than-I-care-to-admit life. Dr. Hollinger is everything you could ask for; friendly, informative, actually listens to you, and knowledgeable as could be. What's more, this is the only place I've ever gone that didn't make me feel like they cared less about my well-being and more about making add-on sales or convincing me I needed 1,000 expensive tests before we could proceed. Stunningly, my first visit resulted in a genuine, no cost suggestion that was presented as a "let's try this simple thing first" that turned out to be incredibly effective at helping me address my issue. Even better, I swear when I had my follow-up, Dr. Hollinger was legitimately as excited about my progress as I was. It was so incredibly refreshing to have a doctor be excited about progress in his patient, and not instead come off like "dang, guess I can't get more insurance billing out of this guy." On top of that, the whole team is super friendly and easy to work with. I honestly can't say enough about how excellent Central Connecticut Orofacial Pain & Sleep Medicine really is, it is truly a top-tier medical practice. Do yourself a favor and get yourself on their calendar, whatever is ailing you will thank you. And take my advice: DO THE STRETCHES. Don't tell the Doc you don't have time, you absolutely do, it's easy and quick and REALLY, REALLY works!!

I met with Dr. Hollinger yesterday for my daughter's TMJ and he was great. I was skeptical going in, and he put me at ease by the end of the appointment. He was professional, genuinely listened to my daughter, and gave a very thorough exam in order to determine the cause of her problems. We left with a treatment plan, some hope, and trust in him. I did not feel like he was trying to take all of my money, but the opposite. I feel like he wants to help the problem and explain possible solutions. He was honest and didn't guarantee complete success, which I appreciate. He was not creepy. I feel like he knew what he was talking about and how to condense the information for my 13 year old to understand. His office staff/nurses were very personable and accommodating. I cannot recommend him and his staff enough. I would give ten stars if I could. And he likes the Red Sox.

Dr. Hollinger is great! I have sleep apnea and have trouble using a cpap. I had a custom mouthguard made by him and I have been sleeping so well. I was up with more energy and feel happier. Even my co workers noticed a difference!!

I've been to many doctors in recent years to sort out health and pain issues. Recently, I made an appointment at Central Connecticut Orofacial Pain and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Hollinger took his time, listened, and was extremely thorough during my appointment. The visit was pleasant and left me feeling progress was already being made in addressing health and pain issues. All Doctors no matter their specialty should strive to provide the patient experience and care as that of Dr. Hollinger. Furthermore, Dr. Hollinger staff is just as professional and welcoming as he is. I can't recommend this practice enough!

I am an anxious person so doctor visits are never fun for me. Dr Hollinger left no room for worry. The environment was warm, welcoming, and very personable, completely putting my anxieties at ease. Every question I had or didn't even know I had, was answered. I felt like he genuinely cared and listened to me, unlike other dismissive doctors I have been to. I left the office feeling confident in everything Dr Hollinger had told me and that I was in good hands. I highly highly highly recommend Dr Hollinger!

Dr.Hollinger treated me with Invisalign. My teeth are nice and straight and more importantly my migraine headaches have mostly disappeared. The decrease in migraine headaches without medication is a life changer for me. Less headaches and less medication ! Thank you Dr.Hollinger. If you are reading this and suffer from migraine headaches I suggest meeting Dr.Hollinger.
