This was the best new patient experience I've ever had at a dentist office! 1. Scheduling/Intake: I was able to make an appointment for within a couple weeks as soon as I called, and they offered me even earlier appointments if I'd wanted one (including a same-day one!). Their intake paperwork was sent to me in advance for easy fill-out. 2. Location/Parking/Accessibility: The office is gorgeous - serene, quiet, and I believe also ADA accessible (there's definitely an elevator, but you still may wish to confirm full accessibility in advance). I personally appreciated that they weren't playing any music or TV in the waiting room, so it was a peaceful environment to wait in. They validate parking for a garage that's just a couple blocks away. It's also super convenient to public transit. 3. Appointment Experience: They saw me exactly on time, and everyone I spoke to and worked with throughout the process was incredibly kind and personable. I'm still very Covid cautious for personal reasons, and I was thrilled to see that they had air filters, open windows, well-fitting masks, and good spacing with dividers between work areas. They're also LGBTQ+ informed & welcoming!

RE: The entire process was rushed, it was not explained that we may owe a balance of $2.k months later in the consent forms. After getting a second opinion from a local dentist, I would not risk your teeth with Dr. Wang. The treatment my mother and I received from centerport dental is unlike anything I have experienced from another business, I would avoid Dr. Wang and his staff at all costs. The first red flag was the receptionist telling me there is no cost for a consultation, and two days before the scheduled appointment I was called and told there would actually be a $200 fee, and when I said in that case I would like to cancel I was told it would be waived. I went ahead with the service and received 6 veneers on my top teeth. I was told that we had to complete the service before the end of February, so that my insurance could possibly cover a portion. They told me to prepare to pay the full amount and that was completely understandable. While the dentist was gentle, I did feel like the process was a little rushed, and that some of my important questions were brushed aside. Overall the quality of the veneers are good, I have some small issues with the bite not being perfectly aligned but they look good. The day that I received the veneers and it came time to pay, the receptionist Kelli told me word for word that my insurance had decided to cover $2,000, and I would only owe the remaining $4,000. I said that was great and we paid the $4,000 that day, my mother and I left happy with the service, and scheduled a follow up appointment. There was no mention of the insurance still processing the claim, or mention that we might owe the remainder of the balance later on. Over a month later we received a call from Kelli stating that the claim was still processing, and that we would have to pay the remaining balance of $2,000 if they decided not to cover. I guess Centerport dental was expecting that we would pay that balance right then, but we felt more comfortable waiting until the claim had fully processed, and we knew whether the coverage was denied or not. Over the following months we received some very unprofessional messages from the front desk personnel, accusing us of basically refusing to pay the remaining balance. I had a follow up appointment scheduled right around the time the claim finalized in July. I was contacted by front desk to confirm my appointment. At this time I was camping and had no service so I did not receive the message until 24 hours later. I received a weird text saying "we have not heard back from you or your mother, please reply or we will cancel your appointment". I thought this was very odd, as a business owner myself I always give customers more than 24 hours to confirm an appointment, especially when their appointment is scheduled 6 days later. The claim was finalized July 13th, 4 months after I received the veneers. We received very rude calls and texts from the staff, accusing us of refusing to pay. This was never the case, there was poor communication from the front desk, I did not even know there was a remaining balance because they had only been in contact with my mother, who was not in town most of this summer. I was told there were "multiple unanswered invoices" sent to my mother, this was just not true since my mother had just spoken to them to request an invoice mailed. I'm not sure why we would be expected to pay a balance of $2,000 before the decision of coverage was finalized? The balance was paid in full a little over a month after the decision for coverage was finalized, plus the amount for a follow up appointment for my veneers. I received a letter in the mail from Dr. Wang stating he would no longer provide dental services to me. Centerport dental did not provide a refund for the prepaid appointment and has not been in contact. Neither I or my mother avoided contact with the dental office, and the bill was paid in full soon after the claim finalized. It seems like there is some poor communication going on between the front desk staff and the dentist.

I love going here. My partner and I were in search of a new dentist after moving to Portland. I was first unsure whether, or not, they would take "normal" patients (i.e. general dentistry) but was glad to know that they do! Honestly, my teeth have never felt so clean as they do after a visit to Centerport. One other reason why I like them is because they are a downtown business and we will lose our urban center if we don't support those who are keeping it alive!

Dr Wang is an amazing cosmetic dentist, and my only regret is not going to him sooner. I only wanted a few things minor fixed with my teeth, discoloration and a front tooth gap. After being told by other dentists that they couldn't do it or it "wasn't necessary" (well duh, we live in a world where we want a more perfect smile, even if isn't necessary). Dr Wang did it in less than two hours and it looks flawless. He never guilt tripped me or made me feel silly about wanting to fill a small gap in my teeth. Thank you team!

What can I say about Dr. Wang? He has the skills of an artist when it comes to fixing your teeth. He has the knowledge of an engineer when it comes to designing what will work for your situation. Dr. Wang uses the most advanced CAD/CAM technology available in dentistry to increase accuracy and lower cost to the patient. When performing surgeries, he has nerves of steel. Dr. Wang has the same precision and accuracy as a neurosurgeon when working on your mouth. In my opinion, there is no other dentist with Dr. Wang's competence. The reason for this is that he not only uses his brain and hands to do his work, but he also works with his heart in it, and this makes all the difference. Dr. Wang is really kind and caring to everyone, and sometimes you wish you could spend more time with him. In my case he is restoring all my teeth with new crowns and two implants. I haven't told him, but with my new smile he is making me feel like I am 25 again and there is no price on that. Even my jaw is going to be longer now. Thank you so much Dr. Wang. I especially thank Angela and Dr. Wang's assistant for their excellent dedication in helping me through the whole process.

Dr. Wang is without a doubt one of the best dentists ever. I have lived in half a dozen major US cities in my lifetime and am so glad I currently live close to Centerport Dentistry. Dr. Wang's office is always prompt, friendly and ready to go when I arrive. It is certainly better to take good care of your teeth with preventative services rather than be subjected to dental pain or discomfort. I would go out of my way to continue receiving dental services from Centerport Dental.
