I have the privilege of being a part of a profession that can change someones life in a positive way. I get to have fun while working and creatively solve problems using education, experience, and technology. Dr. Jon Miler received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics atLoma Linda University. Dr. Miler regularly attends continuing education meetings through theAmerican Association of Orthodontistsand thePacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. At these meetings, he is able to find interesting and helpful ideas to make his patients' treatment more efficient.
A native of Vancouver, WA, Dr. Miler has lived in Meridian, ID since 2006. He and his wife, Mandy, have two wonderful children as well as a dog named Sophie. Some of his favorite activities include playing guitar and basketball, golfing, fishing, snow skiing, wakeboarding, traveling, and camping.
Dr. Miler is also very passionate about being involved in the community. His office, with the help of his patients, has donated hundreds of pounds of food to the Idaho Food Bank. Theyve also supported and participated in the Womens Fitness Celebration and often present dental and orthodontic health information in the classrooms of local schools.

The amount of time spent in braces will vary depending on the individual patient, because every smile responds differently to treatment. Treatment times can take anywhere between six and 30 months, but most standard treatments take about 22 months.
With braces, you should brush your teeth at least three times a day to keep your teeth, gums, and mouth healthy and clean. Brushing regularly will help remove any food that may be caught between the braces. You should also floss daily to get in between your braces where your brush isnt able to reach. Your orthodontist can show you how to properly brush and floss once your braces are placed.
Yes! In fact, its even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. With braces, food may be caught in places that your toothbrush cant reach. This causes bacteria to build up that can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease. Your dentist will work closely with your orthodontist to make sure that your teeth stay clean and healthy while wearing braces.
Playing an instrument or a contact sport may require some adjustment when you first get your braces, but wearing braces will not stop you from participating in any of your school activities. If you play a contact sport, it is recommended that you wear a mouthguard to protect your braces or appliance.

Dr. Miler and his team doing braces on myself and my three kids we've been really happy. The staff is excellent and they schedule so it zips you through. Plus, some thing I had never seen before contemporary layout is fast and efficient but has an architectural aesthetic to it's cool. Last, I had a wire break coming into holiday weekend was tearing up my cheek pretty bad and one of the staff ashley came in to meet me on her holiday weekend and get it all squared away. Now that service! highly recommend this place

We have three sons completing their orthodontic treatment under Dr. Miler's skilled and compassionate care. Although our boys' treatment plans have been different and unique to their individual needs, all three journeys have been remarkably stress-free, and visits to Dr. Miler's office are always enjoyable! Dr. Miler, Chris, and the rest of the staff are simply the best!!

We have had three kids get their teeth fixed here and the staff have been great My kids enjoyed the process because the staff is happy and you can tell they all enjoy their job! I would and have referred others here and maybe one day I will get braces of my own
