CenterCare has been serving downtown Phoenix and the historic districts for over twenty years. Dr. Gary Steen began the practice in 1991 after many years working in international public health and in private practice elsewhere in Phoenix. Its original location was at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix. CenterCare was designed as an advanced general practice that targeted working and professional adults. That has remained its focus. The practice grew substantially over the years, as did all of downtown. As the Suns arena, Chase Field, Cityscape, and ASU Downtown appeared, access for patients gradually became more difficult and CenterCare made plans to move.
In 2006, CenterCare moved a mile north of downtown into a quiet neighborhood and convenience for patients has never been better. Our new location is peaceful, central and very accessible at the Brookstone complex, 3rd St. and Palm Lane.

What a scam this place is. Incredible. I go to get a simple cleaning yesterday which with my insurance that I paid them for should have only cost me $70, but they try to scam me for $240 saying it was a "deep cleaning". Avoid this place like the plague.

I was a nervous wreck and nearly walked out, I went in to get a tooth pulled and have no insurance due to starting a new job. They were very helpful in giving me options and set me up with a plan that saved me quite a bit of money. The staff was very understanding on my anxieties and were very gentle. I've been bouncing around between dentist to find someone that has empathy and takes their clients concern's seriously. I can't wait to go back and continue to work on the other problem teeth that needs to be done, I can't say that I said that before. Thank you!

I had a dental cleaning and a cavity filled and had a very good experience. The hygienist was very professional and thorough and the dentist who filled my cavity is excellent. She is very informative and does great work. Not only did she do a great job, but she wasted no time. It was a comfortable and efficient experience.

I've been coming here for 30 years because of how great this office has been. I drive a good distance too to come here. I have always gotten in on time, every time. They were a well oiled machine. But there is a decline in the office since it's been sold. Dr. Steen is great. A lot of staff who were there long term are gone now. I was pushed back 30 minutes first thing in the morning. How are you running late first thing in the morning? A temp did my cleaning. She sprayed me with water constantly and it took a while. I ended up being 45 minutes later than expected leaving. Got there at 7:45 for an 8am appt. Wasn't seen until 8:30 and it was 9:45 before I left. This is just not good. I'm now considering leaving. So, that says something. But it's hard to find a good dentist.

I have been going to Center Care dentists for a number of years. They are competent and professional. I now live in Tucson but drive up for my dental care. Recently I had an emergency and they saw me that day. They take care of their patients.

Fantastic Staff, the best Dentist in the Valley. Dr. Steen makes you feel like part of his family and does beautiful work. Very precise in explaining procedures as he is performing and I do mean PERFROMING. He is phenomenal!!!

The oral assessment was the most thorough and comprehensive examination I've ever experienced. Dr. Ahmed provided detailed explanations of the exam, offered care options and recommendations in a friendly, non-hurried manner allowing time for questions. All of the staff are friendly, responsive and professional. This is true "patient centered" care.
