CenterCare has been serving downtown Phoenix and the historic districts for over twenty years. Dr. Gary Steen began the practice in 1991 after many years working in international public health and in private practice elsewhere in Phoenix. Its original location was at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix. CenterCare was designed as an advanced general practice that targeted working and professional adults. That has remained its focus. The practice grew substantially over the years, as did all of downtown. As the Suns arena, Chase Field, Cityscape, and ASU Downtown appeared, access for patients gradually became more difficult and CenterCare made plans to move.
In 2006, CenterCare moved a mile north of downtown into a quiet neighborhood and convenience for patients has never been better. Our new location is peaceful, central and very accessible at the Brookstone complex, 3rd St. and Palm Lane.
