Center One Dental is very proud to have a dentist whos always trying to improve the patient experience in Canonsburg. Ever since he started practicing, one of his largest priorities was making patients feel comfortable during their preventive exams and treatments. The moment he can eliminate any stress from patients minds, the more he enjoys providing the care that you and your family are looking for.
When we look back at how Dr. Raj got to this point, it makes much more sense why he chose dentistry as his career path. A large part of his childhood involved being in close proximity of a dentist, but not in the way youd might think.
His dad worked as a pharmacist, so Dr. Raj was familiar with the medical industry at a young age. Since the dentist was right next door to his dads business, he could easily visit his doctor, even when he didnt have a cleaning scheduled. As he got older, he began to look up to the dentist and realized he wanted to be one himself. After graduating high school, Dr. Raj began attending dental school almost immediately.
In India, students can attend dental school shortly after graduating high school. Over the next five years, Dr. Raj obtained fantastic dental education. After graduating in India, he worked as an associate dentist for three years. This would give him fantastic clinical, hands-on experience that would be useful once he moved to America. By 2005, he moved to the U.S. and attended New York Universitys College of Dentistry.
In 2011, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed his Certificate program in Esthetic and Comprehensive Dentistry. One of his favorite topics in dentistry is cosmetics, so hes happy to provide many expansive smile makeovers for patients who are interested. Today, he works with a local lab to make all necessary restorations for patients.
Since he moved to the U.S., Dr. Raj has started a family of his own. Hes been married to his wife Bhavna for 10 years and has two daughters who are 11 and 4 years old. When hes not providing dental care to patients, hes playing volleyball with his family, traveling the country, and cheering on his favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers.
When it comes to dentistry, Dr. Rajs passion truly shines through. Imagine going to school twice just so you can provide care in a brand-new country! Of course, this only made Dr. Raj better prepared to provide the Canonsburg community a very high standard of care. Every time you walk into Center One Dental, you can expect the same excitement and dedication that motivated him to pursue dentistry at a young age. Dr. Raj Vekarija and his staff at Center One Dental are amazing. This is the first dentist I've liked since childhood. Dr. Raj has easy hands and leaves me with no pain. Dr. Raj took me in for an emergency and I have been his patient ever since. My entire family now goes to Center One Dental.

Dr. Raj and his staff are great. They are knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable at my visit. They don't rush you in and out of the office.Dr. Raj took time to make sure I understood the issue I am having and working to resolve. I highly recommend.

Very good experience! All staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. Doctor took enough time to explain. The office is very clean and has a great, welcoming environment. Will be definitely coming back.

I haven't been to the dentist in a couple of years. Found Center One Dental online and after reading the reviews I thought I would give them a try. They got me an appointment the very next day for my cleaning!! Everyone was so nice. No long wait time. All were smiling and very welcoming. My cleaning went geeat. Would definitely recommend!!

After been to many dental clinics around metro pittsburgh area, we were lucky enough to find this jewel in the crown. Specially my 9 yr old and 5 yr old love going to dental appointments at this place. The place is absolute clean with latest equipment. Staff (Dr.Raj, Amanda & Mona) are very friendly and accommodative with changing schedules. Check-out this place for sure, for all your family dental needs.

I called on Friday morning for an emergency visit due to my temporary crown having shattered. My dentist is in NC and I would not be back there for some time. I got an immediate appointment and was totally satisfied with the results. They didn't know me and yet they did everything possible to take care of me. The new temporary was even better than the original temporary! The were friendly, happy, helpful and kind. I felt like I had known them forever. Thank you for saving me from walking around missing a front tooth!!

Chose them after reading reviews and they are right. I went in for a difficult tooth removal and Dr. Raj made it as easy as it could have been, very little pain or discomfort during the process. I was impressed so also scheduled my 2 year old his first appointment and they were just as amazing with him. Highly recommend.

Dr Raj and Mona give exceptional care. Just had a root canal done today which I was pretty nervous about. The procedure was super fast, simple and painless. Dr. Raj was so gentle with the novocaine I didn't even feel it. Very glad to have him as my dentist moving forward!
