Dr. Phyllis Kawada is a licensed specialist in pediatric dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Originally from Hacienda Heights, she resides locally with husband Mark and son Matthew and daughter Camille. Dr. Kawada is a proud alumae of USC where she received a B.S. in Biological Science and continued on to complete her D.D.S. at the USC School of Dentistry. Dr. Kawada trained at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, completing a 3-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry. She also received a M.S. for research in Oral Biology for studying oral effects on liver and kidney transplant patients. Dr. Kawada also holds a faculty position at USC as an Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry and is on the medical staff at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier. Dr. Kawada also serves on the Executive Board for the Friends of the Childrens Museum at La Habra. Outside of the office, Dr. Kawada is also a talented musician, and loves to follow USC Football. Dr. Rosie is a Southern Cal ex-pat recently moving back from Michigan. She earned her BA in Economics at UCLA and received her DDS degree from the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Michigan Mott Children's Heath Center and Master's degree ath the UM Rackham Graduate School. Dr. Rosie is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and also specializes in dental treatment under general anesthesia. She is available for new patients.
Dr. Ramirez is joining our team after working locally in the community of Chino Hills for the past 6 years. She brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for pediatric dentistry to our Chino Hills office. She attended dental school at New York University and completed her pediatric residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Massachusetts. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry as is available for new patients. Dr. Ramirez also specializes in oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Susan Xu comes to us from Southern California. She obtained her DDS from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed her pediatric residency at Loma Linda University. Dr. Xu lives locally in Fullerton. Dr. Xu is available in the La Habra and Chino Hills office. She specializes in treatment under oral conscious sedation. She is currently on maternity leave with her first child and plans to return in July 2021.
Hortencia is a dedicated professional in the dental field with an excellent work ethic and over 20 years of experience. She truly loves what she does, and it shows in the way she goes above and beyond to accommodate patients and ensure they are pleased with the services they receive.
Liseth is a true local Southern California girl, growing up in Chino Hills. She has a certification in medical and dental billing and has been working in the dental field for more than 7 years. Liseth is the office manager at the Chino Hills office and is always ready to help out whenever she is needed.
Jane is a Registered Dental Hygienist in our La Habra and Chino Hills offices. She has been in the dental field for over 10 years and loves pediatrics. She enjoys traveling - ask her about her latest trip when you come in for a cleaning! When she's not at work she enjoys spending time with family, doing crafts and baking treats for everyone!
Liz is a California native. In her spare time, she loves being around family. Trained in advanced pediatric sedation techniques, Liz is our Lead Assistant and manages our sedation and anesthesia rooms in the La Habra office and Surgery Center. She holds a license as a Registered Dental Assistant and has been working in Pediatrics for over 12 years. Liz has recently returned from maternity leave and rejoined our La Habra office.
May was born and raised in the L.A area and recently has moved to the Inland Empire. She is a Registered Dental Assistant and has been in the dental field for over 10 years, specializing in pediatrics and orthodontics. She truly enjoys working with children and loves building relationships with our patients that go beyond a dental visit. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the movies and spending time with her family.
Jessica is a Registered Dental Assistant. She has been in the dental field for about 5 years. She enjoys working with children and changing their little smiles one at a time. She enjoys eating healthy and going on trail walk and hikes, spending time with family, listening to music and working out.
Mary joined our Team in July 2019. She currently works in the La Habra office. Mary brings previous experience in general dentistry but loves working with kids. She is super friendly and always ready to help.
Gurpal is a certified dental assistant who was born and raised in London, England and moved to the Inland Empire in 2019. She has been in the dental field for 3 years and has always loved taking care of everyone's oral health and well being. She loves spending time with her family, doing arts and crafts, baking, and working out.
