Dr. Mahallati was one of the original co-founders of Center for Implant & Esthetic Dentistry (CIED). CIED was formed when Dr.s Daftary & Mahallati joined forces to create an innovative Prosthodontic office dedicated to providing the highest quality in Restorative, Cosmetic, Implant & Reconstructive Dentistry. Dr. Mahallatireceived his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University Of Southern Californias prestigious Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in 1990. He then returned to the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and completed his certificate in Prosthodontics in 2008.
Dr. Mahallatis involvement and dedication towards the advancement of dentistry goes well beyond the dental chair. Since the beginning of his career as a general dentist, he has taught professional colleagues and students alike about the latest techniques and developments in dentistry. After completing his advanced prosthodontic certificate in 2008, Dr. Mahallati stayed on at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School Of Dentistry as Clinical Assistant Professor and guest lecturer, presenting at continuing education courses and symposiums. Today, he continues to share his invaluable knowledge, technique, and experience with colleagues at dental study clubs, continuing education presentations (CE) and symposiums. His research interests are in the areas of Implant Dentistry and Dental Materials. Dr. Mahallati has co-authored several textbook chapters and is published in scientific and peer-reviewed journals.
For the past decade, Dr. Mahallati is highly regarded by his peers and patients as a leading Prosthodontist. His artistic abilities in tooth fabrication and prosthetic design contribute towards the advancement of dental restorations. In 1995, Dr. Mahallati was the founder and Director of Dentalogy Dental Group, a multi-specialty dental facility combined with an on-site dental laboratory. He managed the technical and educational programs at the lab, while also treating multidisciplinary and complicated restorative dental cases. In 2002, Dr. Mahallati then co-founded the Center for Implant & Esthetic Dentistry, a state of the art dental practice incorporating a dental lab with the latest CAD/CAM and restorative technology. CIEDis one of only two practices in the United States that has such technology on site. Dr. Mahallati serves patients both nationally and internationally who have basic to complex dental needs.
Following many years of dedication to the advancement of dentistry, Dr. Mahallati then became a member of the prestigious American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry in 2014, whose membership is by invitation only. He is also an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO); American College of Prosthodontics (ACP) and the Osseointegration Study Club of Southern California.
A Prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in the restoration and replacement of teeth. Most Prosthodontists receive three years of additional training after dental school in a program accredited by the American Dental Association based either at a hospital or a university. The training includes lectures, treatment of patients with more complex needs with a higher degree of precision and a more in-depth knowledge of the care they provide. In addition, a Prosthodontics specialty requires a clinician to be involved in research and to be published in the field
Prosthodontists are the experts in dental rehabilitation and procedures including crowns, caps, bridges, veneers, removable partial dentures, dentures, and dental implants. Prosthodontists have also received advanced training in implant dentistry, TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouths structures, congenital or birth anomalies to teeth, snoring, sleep disorders, and oral cancer reconstruction and continuing care. Prosthodontists are leaders of complete oral rehabilitation.
Yes! The American Dental Association recognizes nine dental specialties, and the ADA does not include cosmetic dentistry as a specialty. Prosthodontists receive extensive training and experience in dental esthetics and cosmetics during their graduate programs. Training, experience, knowledge, and expertise far exceeds that of a general dentist.
The prosthodontist is best viewed as the architect of your dental project. He has the vision of your final outcome, both the esthetics of your smile and the improved function of your bite. Often other dental specialists such as a periodontist, oral surgeon or endodontist may participate in your treatment to help establish a solid foundation for your restorations. Every Prosthodontist develops a treatment plan customized for each individual patient, and he will determine if adjunctive procedures by another doctor are necessary.
Although the Center for Implant & Esthetic Dentistry focuses on providing our patients with the latest, state of the art advancements in restorative dentistry, we are also committed to doing our part to preserve the environment. For this reason, we have just completed a total redesign of our space incorporating energy and water saving equipment used daily in our dental office. In addition, being completely paperless enables us to save some trees while reducing our footprint by filing insurance claim forms electronically (paperless). This in return also happens to create a faster turn-a-round response from insurance companies for our patients.

I was referred to Dr. Mahallati by a well-renowned oral surgeon who sees the work of numerous dentists when they refer their own patients to her. When she recommended Dr. Mahallati, she said "I cannot think of anyone with his degree of knowledge and attention to detail." Now that I am a patient of Dr. Mahallati, I could not agree more. My particular case has some complexities and unfortunately involves my front tooth, which makes esthetics my biggest concern. I think almost any dentist can replace an implant crown, but to make it match perfectly with the rest of my front teeth has proven to be challenging. I know this because I've visited multiple dentists after hours of reading through online reviews. Despite many of these dentists having stellar online reviews, they unfortunately didn't have the expertise or meticulous approach required to complete the job to my satisfaction. I'm sure part of the difficulty was that I'm looking for near perfection. But so far, Dr. Mahallati has delivered on that. He will adjust and readjust until both he and you are satisfied with the result. My case is not complete yet, but I'm so glad to have found a dentist who is as meticulous as I am when it comes to my teeth. I'm looking forward to posting an update when everything is complete.

Dr. Mahallati has been my dentist for the past 7 years. His practice has undergone an amazing aesthetic change with a magnificent remodel. His gentile manner and expert skills have made it possible for me to visit with a low level of anxiety, knowing he is a compassionate and skillfull doctor. The staff is very responsive and great to deal with, they are like family to me. I strongly recommend Dr. Mahallati for all your dental needs.

Please read my review till the end, Dr Remin really changed my life!!! I decided to have an implant August 2017 with smile for life in las vegas with doctor joey, After 2 years of consistent pain that would not stop 24/7 i realized that not only he did a bad job with my implants he lied to me with the material of the teeth, he promised me zarkoniak (which he said are strong)and he gave me plastic. When i confronted him he blamed it on his employee. From that point he changed and he gave me adittu ,didnt really wanted to correct it and gave me a new set of teeth but they were even worth than the first one and when i complained he told me he wasn't gonna put it in my mouth and to find another doctor. Now im with set of teeth but cant find a doctor to put them in. And than i was told by a family member about doctor Remin from beverly hills. My first appointment with him i felt that finnally i found a professional dentist, he was so nice and understood what I've been threw for the last 2 years and promised to fix the bad job that Dr joey did to me. Finally few days ago i finished the process and i couldnt be happier, Dr Remin changed my life, i can smile again, no pain at all, everybody complimenting me on my new teeth, Dr Remin works so gently and he looks for perfection in every step of the process. The customer service he gives you his beyond expectation, thank you Dr Remin to you and your professional stuff!!!! If you have a bad teeth call Dr Remin you will not be disappointed this doctor is amazing!!!!

Dr. Mahallati restored my teeth and brought back total functionality and beauty to my face. His level of expertise, attention to details and great sense of humor makes him the best in my book. Also, the front office staff and tech assistants provide first class service. I can honestly say that in my forty plus years of dealing with various dentists in the greater Los Angels area, I have not been this much happy about the outcome of works done on my teeth. I am a colleague and a patient of Dr. Mahalati. I can say he is amongst a very few dentist I can trust. He is very professional and takes pride in the work that he delivers and that is a rare quality in this profession these days. One of the best qualities is that he is trustworthy, to me this is a great quality in any medical professional. No diagnosis of unnecessary treatments! In my opinion, this is priceless. Another fantastic quality is his immense know how and knowledge in many fields of dentistry, which helps him be very diverse in diagnosis and treatment planning. He works with a network of top specialist so you can always be sure you are being cared for by the BEST of the BEST. What I am very sensitive about is proper sterilization and disinfection of the treatment rooms and I have seen the Laboratory and seen the protocol, It is by far the cleanest and most sanitized office I have ever seen. The office is very pleasing with state of the art equipment, latest tested technology and materials. He has an in house Lab artist who makes the dental crowns and other restorations in the office to be able to customize every case chair side if need be. Did I mention that he is a prosthodontist ( few More years of extra schooling to be able to design and redo the entire dentition). He teaches and lectures on many topics including implants, occlusion ( bite issues), cosmetic dentistry and much more. He has such an artistic eye for shade, symmetry and function. His staff is well trained and professional and always pleasant. I have been under his care for a difficult bite issue which he has masterfully treated with the help of his team with no need for crowns or cutting down of my natural teeth. I will recommend him and I know you will get an honest treatment plan with quality work that you don't need to redo fo a Long Long time, if ever! I am sure you will love your dental experience with dr. Mahalati. Downside is that you will never want to be seen by another dentist again. Good luck on your search!

I don't generally give 5 star ratings, but Dr. Mahallati deserves nothing less. I've had issues with my left front tooth since a childhood accident and have struggled finding an experienced office for decades. This man is a true professional, an artist and genuinely a nice guy. His staff also, graciously reflects his standards as well. I feel so lucky to have finally found a great practice! Thank you Dr. Mahallati!

Always kind, helpful, and exceptionally knowledgeable at every level, Dr. Mahallati and his staff make visits to the dentist like a visit to a kind, caring friend. The staff is top notch, starting with the wonderful reception and appointment booking by Maria Chaires. It's the best teeth cleaning, the best crowns and the best care I've ever had at any dental practice. Be prepared to be educated from how to floss, how to properly use a Sonic toothbrush, how to take care of your gums. Thank you for that!!!!
