Great experience! I suffer from some dental anxiety, but today's root canal was the easiest I have ever had. Dr. Hoover went out of his way to make me comfortable and got the job done quickly and without any pain.

So I had a root canal in September 2021. Dr. Hoover was excellent. I would give him 5 stars. But the staff member that works with the insurance told me I had to pay a certain amount up front. Approximately 500$, which I did. The next month I got an additional bill for $349. I ignored it thinking that was my insurances part and it was taking longer than normal for them to pay up. I never got a phone call from the billing department. But I received a summons to General Sessions Court. For a judgement of 511.06. So I immediately contacted them to pay it and now it's $615.89. I had no choice but to pay it. Unbelievable. All it would have taken was a phone call explaining why I still owed money.

It was my first root canal and the doctor was great. I'm still having pain but at this point o not want to go back. It is more the accounting dept. I was advised I was in network and the amount it would cost out of pocket. I get a bill that is outrageous. I call and they said I was not in network, they were short staffed and people working at home and didn't have the tools to tell me correctly. Well, I'm sorry. If I had known I was out of network I would have suffered through more pain to get someone in network. So I pay and then I have to skip a payment so call back 2 weeks later to make another payment and they have sent to a lawyers office.

Absolutely best experience I have EVER had in a Doctors office. I was dreading my 2nd root canal. The staff and Dr. Hoover were so nice and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you SO much for making me feel better and helping me keep my smile.

I was dreading my first root canal but I trusted my dentist when he referred me to Dr. Hoover. The office was very clean and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. My procedure went flawlessly. It's been 5 days now since my root canal and I have remained pain-free.

I received a root canal today. I have PTSD and in the past I've had terrible experiences, not being able to numb my teeth before working on me. Not here. I kept falling asleep because I couldn't feel a thing. Very happy with my experience here. Not nearly as terrifying as I thought it would be.

I was referred to Dr. Hoover at the Center for Endodontics by my primary dentist at Shallowford Dental care group, Dr. Gardenhire. I am a retired physician. In my opinion, Dr. Hoover is a quietly caring and compassionate doctor. I had a very difficult root canal procedure because of the degree and duration of infection and inflammation. Dr. Hoover divided my care into 2 separate visits, at no additional charge, to maximize my comfort and safety. I must say my mouth feels better than it has in years! His assistants, Nicole and Policia were both very professional and personable as well. There is nothing rushed about this practice, beginning with the front desk. The only thing they rushed was getting me in same day to begin my treatment plan. I'm very grateful. I heartily recommend Dr. Hoover and his team.

Dr Hoover is awesome. He's staff is very attentive. There is no reason to be worried or anxious about getting a root canal, I had no pain at all. Thank you so much for giving me freedom from pain!!

Awesome dentist . Very fast and professional . He was gentle and kind . They also call to check on you the next day which I think is so caring . Both root canals He has done for me have been completely pain free . I'm thankful to have access to great care .

I have always been scared of the thought of having a root canal. After going to Dr. Hoover's office and dealing with him and his kind staff my worry lessened. The day of the root canal I was still a little nervous but I can honestly say that having a filling is worse than having a root canal by Dr. Hoover. I am not saying I want another root canal but if I do have to have one I will no longer worry. I am in good hands with Dr. Hoover and his staff.

Very good experience. Works well with patients to get services covered. As all dental offices do, they want payment requirements set up prior to services. It's not like they can take back a root canal back! Endodonists might be a little more expensive to perform a root canal, but once you pay the expense to save a tooth to get a crown, why not do it right? Dr. Hoover is very detail oriented and does an excellent job.

Was not pleased at all that I went in for an exam to see if I needed a root canal and after finishing was told it was $131 upfront. I explained I had insurance. They said I'll get a refund but when I said they should tell that upfront I was told they do, however I made the appointment the day before (in person) and was never informed of this. I asked what the money covered and they explained that was for x rays and exam. I explained I had x rays the day before next door but she said they can't request them due to a different system for x rays. I won't be returning, all I knew by the end was I was being scheduled for a root canal by a dentist who wasn't even sure which tooth needed it, and left without ever even having an appointment scheduled because they were too concerned getting their money. Only positive is I was in and out quickly.

My experience with Dr Hoover was painless and fast. His staff was very friendly and his office was remarkably clean. I was very nervous about having a root canal, and he put me at ease. I would highly recommend him.
