Dr. Choby graduated from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine with a Dental Medicine Doctorate ( DMD) in 1976. Upon completion of his graduate studies, he entered a two year general dental practice residency at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Choby continued to pursue advanced dental training ever since. He has earned a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), a Fellow in the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics (FICCMO), a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI). He is a consulting staff member of Excela Hospitals in Westmoreland County and has surgical privileges for dental implants at the Frick Campus. His expertise is frequently called upon for second opinions for quality assurance companies, peer review panels, workmen's compensation disputes, automobile accident claims, dental insurance companies, physicians, attorneys, and other dentists. He has performed over 1000 root canal treatments using J. Morita's revolutionary rotary handpieces and has demonstrated this innovative root canal system before endodontists at the American Association of Endodontists meeting in Washington DC. Recently he presented a lecture before the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Othropedics in Kansas City, MO.
