A general and family dentist,Dr. Lee Ostler is dedicated to listening to his patients and making a difference, not just with oral health but by looking beyond to maintain the optimal overall well-being of every patient. He practices a state-of-the-art approach toward treating chronic gum diseases known to be linked with heart disease, cognitive decline, diabetes, and other common medical problems. He has focused his dental expertise towards the connection with the mouth and body, cosmetic dentistry, dental reconstructions, smile makeovers, facial pain, and headaches/TMJ therapy, as well as snoring and sleep apnea solutions.
In his free time, Dr. Ostler enjoys spending time with his familyespecially his grandchildren. You can often find him at their school and sporting events, working in his garden, helping at his church, and maybe even doing a scuba dive somewhere.
I am a local to the Tri-Cities, having lived here since the age of 9. As an adult, I chose to return to college and pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene from Columbia Basin College, graduating with the CBC class of 2005. My passions outside of work include hanging out with my husband and four grown kids (when they let me!) and fixing up my home and yardI often wonder if rearranging my shrubs and trees on a regular basis, like rearranging furniture, is a bad thing!
Since 2006, I have been fortunate enough to work with Dr. Ostler. Here, I feel that I get to create a unique bond with my patients. I not only get to help them achieve the best oral health, but I also have the privilege of really getting to know them on a personal levelI love to hear their stories! I live life everyday, enjoying the small things that many people overlook. I enjoy coming home to the unconditional love of my family. I wear many hats in life: mother of two, wife, daughter, and sister.
I have also been blessed with a job that I enjoy and a boss that makes family a priority. I enjoy working with people on a daily basis and get satisfaction out of helping the people that come into our office. The people I meet and relationships I create make my job rewarding.
Seeing the work Dr. Ostler does first hand is amazing. Its like watching a blank canvas come to life! The happiness patients get from his work is life changing for some. No two days are the same and I look forward to what every new day brings. Each new patient to our office is like an extension to our family, and here we make family a priority!
I enjoy everything that Tri-Cities has to offer, especially when it comes to work. In the dental field, you see a lot of different levels of care and expertise; I am comfortable in knowing that I work for a doctor who provides the highest level of care to every one of our patients.
Being able to create meaningful relationships at home and work makes my life great. I spend much of my time connecting with people outside of work for a variety of reasonsthe most being watching my children participate in sports.
What many in our region and even our own patients dont know is that Dr. Ostler is playing an increasing important role in healthcare both in our local community and across the nation. He is a former Board Member and Past- President of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health, which is a professional health organization of physicians and dentists and related health professionals and educators and researchers, dedicated to raising awareness of the health and disease connections between the mouth and the rest of the body.
In April three-hundred medical-dental health professionals joined together for the regions first Medical-Dental Health Summit and Reception in the Tri-Cities. In fact, it was one of the first of its kind anywhere in the country! The list of those attending was remarkable and spanned a wide cross-section of healthcare providers and administrators and educators from both within and outside of this region.
Many attendees noted that it was the single best and largest CME/CDE event theyve seen in the Tri-Cities. Most notably, it was the first time physicians and dentists were able to sit and learn and earn CE credits together!
Bottom line physicians, insurance companies and hospital systems NEED dentists & hygienists to improve health outcomes and lower their costs of delivering healthcare. What a great time for dentists to step up as a valued health professional within the broader healthcare community.
Dentists who understand the links between oral health and the body talk to their patients differently. They diagnose and treat using new tools, resources, lab tests and diagnostic protocols. They have zero tolerance for bleeding, infection, and for watching problems. They interact frequently with medical health professionals and are glad to be doing their part to improve the health of both their patients and the community at large.
People/patients with health problems need to be sure they are receiving the appropriate diagnosis and advanced periodontal care in order to better protect their brain and heart health, and to minimize healthcare costs.

I have moved many times over the past 10 years and have seen a lot of different dentists as a result. I was referred to Lee Ostler from another dentist in Hermiston for my jaw/TMJ issues. Fast forward to now and my jaw/TMJ issues are SO much better and continue to improve after years of discomfort. Dr. Ostler and his staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr. Ostler isn't just any regular dentist; he has published books and will literally talk you through the methodology/research/science that goes into his practice and overall health. The way he explains your symptoms, why you're having them, and solutions to them is extremely helpful and improves your motivation to follow their treatment. There's a lot of good dentists out there, but you won't find many great dentists like you will at Lee Ostler's office. Best team of dental professionals I've experienced in the last 10 years.

Dr. Ostler and his staff are OUTSTANDING! They Are truly one of these rare Dental groups that makes you feel like family from the first visit. Dr. Ostler is extremely competent, caring and professional. I chose to invest in my smile with cosmetic veneers and he is the Dentist you want to perform this procedure. I'm in the Medical industry and did my research. His work is beautiful, incredibly thorough and extremely well performed. He is also a very nice person. He brings a wealth of experience to his patients/procedures and is a true perfectionist. Kim and his staff are about as good as it gets! The scheduling and reminders are perfect. The staff is caring and professional. The appointment times are always prompt and the staff is always courteous. All the technicians are extreamly knowledgable and proficient. DR Ostler is a consumate professional... thorough, professional, caring and answers all my questions. In summary, I highly recommended the Center for Dental Health. The whole team makes the experience of going to the dentist excellent!

I visited Dr Ostler's office last August prior to cancer radiation to have my teeth reviewed for health. I had 12 filings in one sitting as silver fillings had to be replaced with ceramic prior to radiation. That included a few cavities as well. I had a number of Novocain shots and I honestly could hardly feel them. This guy is GOOD! I hate needles so this was a blessing! I am going back today for follow up work on teeth. His staff is wonderful. So kind and personal. You could not go wrong with Dr. Ostler.
