Our Pittsburgh dental office is designed with our patients comfort in mind. Exceptionally clean and neat, our dental practice is spa-like, with a relaxing and pleasing atmosphere. Our office administrator, Joanne, has been working with us for over 30 years, our hygienists, Molly, Deidre and Lisa have extensive dental experience and Frani, our dental assistanthas been in dentistry for more than 38 years. This is demonstrative of the kind of commitment you can expect from our team. Helmed by Dr. Narcisis father prior to his joining the practice in 1988, the Center for Dental Excellence is proud to have lifelong patients, some of which date back to 1964. Dr. Edward Narcisi has been around dentists and dentistry since the third grade. His father was a dentist who opened the Center for Dental Excellence in 1964. Dr. Narcisi is a full-time clinician, an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh, and a published author of chapters in textbooks and articles in dental journals.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Dr. Narcisi attended John Carroll University between 1980 and 1984. After obtaining his bachelors of science degree in biology, he went on to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for post-graduate studies. He studied dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh from 1984 to 1988, and entered into private practice immediately after graduating, joining forces with his father at the Center for Dental Excellence. Founded in 1964 by Dr. Narcisis father, the practice has one of the longest and most respected legacies in the city of Pittsburgh, and counts lifelong patients among its clientele. After his father retired from dentistry in 2004, Dr. Narcisi took on the role of leading the practice.
A member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration, Dr. Narcisi is an active member in the field of dentistry, and stays abreast of the latest developments in dental science through continuing education. His experience has enabled him to lecture to colleagues around the world - he has performed more than 200 lectures - as well as author several industry papers and dental textbook chapters. In addition to private practice, Dr. Narcisi serves as the clinical co-director of the Multidisciplinary Implant Center at the University of Pittsburgh as well as the co-director of the General Practice Residency at the UPMC Shadyside Dental Center. A father or two, Aldo and Alida, Dr. Narcisi has been married to his wife Claudia since 1989 and enjoys playing golf in his off time.

In addition to the expertise of dr narcissi and his staff, you are made to feel so welcomed when you arrive for your appointment. everyone is so caring and take special care of you while undergoing a procedure my only regret is that i was not a patient years ago.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Dr. Narcisi and his staff are. They take the time to get to know you and to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. I have always struggled with self confidence when is came to my smile and walking out of their office always makes me feel beautiful and happy! Excellent Dental practice, from the moment you walk in , Joanne always greets you with a smile and is very professional, Frani is amazing she always makes you feel comfortable and is definitely great at her job , Dr Narcisi is definitely a great dentist, he explains everything with great detail and cares about his patients, I highly recommend this practice ,thanks everyone for making all my visits very comfortable!

My dental anxiety had kept me from the dentist for many years. Everyone at this office was Incredibly kind. It started with a caring receptionist and continued with the hygienist! She was incredible and made sure that I wasn't in any discomfort. Finally it ended with Dr Narcissi. He explained everything and went over my treatment plan. He made recommendations and gave me several options on treatment options. I should also mention this occurred during Covid and I could not have felt safer!! Thank you to Dr Narcissi and his wonderful staff. One appointment has begun a life changing return to dental health for me!

Dr. Narcisi is equally as friendly as he is professional. He is "patient with his patients" and I am grateful to be one! My husband and I came to his office on the advice of a friend and we are truly thankful we did. My husband was in need of some work that proved to be, in our opinion the best decision we could have made for him in following Dr. Narcisi's advice, referrals and instruction. I personally had very minor issues that I waited to have done and just finished a thank you note for this Doctor! Yes! I am paying for services just like anyone else, but the service I received requires the compliment. I admire his gift and talent; the fact that he clearly takes pride in his work and can "chew the fat" all at the same time. He's amazing!

Dr. Narcisi's office is excellent. The doctor provides exceptional dental care. JoAnne runs the office and schedules appointments in a most timely and efficient manner. Frani is the dental assistant who works so well with Dr. Narcisi. Our dental hygienist is Deidre. She does a great job of making you feel comfortable during teeth cleaning. The office is also taking all precautions during Coronavirus. The Center for Dental Excellence receives a five star rating from me, my sister, and my brother-in-law.
