Graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1971. He received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 1988. Dr. Beard is proud to be apart of the prestigious, and world renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Studies where he continues his education to provide the best dental techniques and service to his patients. Dr. Beard has a special interest in the art of Cosmetic Dentistry, dental implants and full mouth reconstruction.
Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. It is a major cause of tooth loss in adults. Because gum disease is normally painless, you may not know you have it. Also referred to as periodontal disease, gum disease is caused by plaque, the sticky film of bacteria that is constantly forming on our teeth.
The sooner you treat gum disease the better. The early stage of gum disease is called gingivitis. If you have gingivitis, your gums may become red, swollen and bleed easily. At this stage, the disease is still reversible and can usually be eliminated by a professional cleaning at your dental office, followed by daily brushing and flossing.
Advanced gum disease is called periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis affects nearly half of adults over 30 years old in the United States. It can lead to the loss of tissue and bone that support the teeth and it may become more severe over time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. This is the most common form of periodontitis in adults but can occur at any age. It usually gets worse slowly, but there can be periods of rapid progression.

Couldn't be more pleased with Dr Brian Beard and entire staff. They are all friendly, reassuring, competent, and professional. They did everything possible to make me comfortable, and I was. Had extraction and implant, and I am so glad I chose this office.

I have been going here for a few years now and love it. My hygienist works late some nights, which is great for a teacher 30 mins away. Having available appointments at 4:40 in the afternoon makes it possible for me to continue coming here, which I am happy to do out of pocket since I've switched jobs and they don't take my new insurance. Even today, despite my best efforts to convince my 3yo that it would be "very boring" to come with me to the dentist, she insisted. Blakely was so patient with her basically pestering behavior, and my daughter left cheering about her new Ariel toothbrush ("my FAVORITE mom!!") and glove balloon complete with a drawn on face and ears. I could never say enough good things!

I was worked in as an emergency patient today, and the second I walked in the door, I felt welcome. The front desk ladies are true gems! Very personable and sweet. Dr. Brian Beard and his assistant, Kristy were amazing! And the fact that everything was done in office in one visit blew me away. Thank you all for being so professional, so kind and most of all, for fixing my problem and making me pain free.

My first experience with CCD was in 1994. They have been my go-to dentist ever since. From cleaning, fillings and crowns. I've lived from Tennessee to California, Virginia and now Maryland and I ALWAYS plan accordingly to make it to Cleveland and CCD for my cleanings and other dental needs.

Wonderful,Professional, and courteous staff very accommodating and sweet by nature. Dr. Brian is wonderful! A truely gifted dentist. He makes the comfort of his patients a #1 priority. Went for a consultation today and was not only impressed by how nice the entire office is, the staff was even nicer! I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable, unlike my consultation a few days ago at aspen dental. Dr. Beard's office has state of the art equipment, everything is super clean and the waiting room is SO comfy like a really nice living room. I didn't feel looked down upon by the staff for not having insurance either, like I did at aspen dental (that place is horrible). And my quote was $10,000 less at Dr. Beard's than at aspen as well! I highly recommend Center for Cosmetic Dentistry.
