A native of Buffalo, New York, Dr. Bernstein attended Northwestern University Dental School, graduating with honors. During his years of clinical practice, he has endeavored to provide outstanding care combined with a compassionate approach to ease any anxiety you may have with dental treatment. Being trained and certified in both Oral and IV conscious sedation allows for multiple options for safe and pleasant treatment.
An insatiable appetite for continuing education, Dr. Bernstein is dedicated to learning the most advanced methods of treatment in a wide array of disciplines to provide you with the most comprehensive care possible. A kind, caring, patient centered approach is his simple philosophy. He believes it is important for patients to have time to be heard to express their goals and concerns. This assists him in serving the patient as a whole to obtain optimal oral and general health.
Dr. Nicholas Camic was born in Portland, Maine, and is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington. To pursue a career in dentistry, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. His Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency was also completed at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Camic is very excited to be returning home with his wife to join the Center for Advanced Dentistry team. He provides caring, individualized, high quality dental care for every patient. Dr. Camic also prioritizes further education by staying current with the latest dental research and technology.
Dr. Camic resides in Lewiston, ME with his wife. He enjoys life with his family, friends and two dogs. Along with practicing dentistry, Dr. Camic enjoys many activities and hobbies including, hiking, skiing, and martial arts.

Dr. Bernstein is one of the leading sedation dentistry experts in the Lewiston, Maine area. He is certified in oral conscious sedation through DOCS and has received specialized IV sedation training at Duquesne University. He has extensive experience with sedation dental treatments, and has helped hundreds of patients overcome their dental phobias with anxiety-free sedation dentistry.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire staff of Center for Advanced Dentistry. I feel completely heard every time I call or go in for an appointment. If I have any concerns, they are more than happy to address them in detail prior to any work being completed. I have avoided dentists in the past due to horrible experiences, but everyone here has made me feel comfortable enough to continue going back for all of my dental care.

The staff at Center for Advanced Dentistry are fantastic! They know you by name, build the relationship with your treatment plan and allow you to take charge of your dental health. From the front desk, hygienist's, DAs and Drs they take care of you like family.

As an almost 50 year old that has never had any teeth extracted and has a moderate gag reflex, to say I was a bit anxious would be an understatement. When I was informed that it was time to have my Wisdom Teeth removed, I knew that I wanted some form of sedation. The entire process at Center for Advanced Dentistry was so smooth, from the scheduling, consultation, pre-sedation visit to the actual procedure. I cannot say enough about Dr. Kieffer's professionalism and chair side demeanor. He has such a passion for his art, which is evident by the way he takes the time to explain the technical aspects in a clear, calming, and easy to understand fashion. The sedation was perfect and I had no swelling or discomfort, just by following their clear and simple post-procedure instructions. With the possible need for an implant in my future, I know that I will be seeing Dr. Kieffer and would recommend him to anyone who may be in need of an amazing dentist.

My daughter gets high anxiety when she knows she needs to visit the dentist due to a previous experience with a different dentist. I researched offices and came across Center for Advanced Dentistry. The receptionist was so help with insurance and other questions I had. The two dental assistants that helped us were so amazing and the dentist himself was awesome! They continued checking in with her on her pain level and comforting her while working on her teeth. They cheered her on and kept her up to date on what they were doing where. We will continue to use this office from now on.

I've been going here since I was really really little. Although times and staff have changed. This is the place that got me over my fear of going to the dentist. I have never ever had a bad experience here. Always friendly and welcoming. Over the years I have gotten to know the staff and even have lifelong friends that work there. I moved away from the state a few years ago by my travel always allows me to have one of my two check ups a year here. That's how good they are.

I have never been to a more welcoming office! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming! I personally hate the (act of) going to the dentist but with Center for Advanced Dentistry all of my anxiety of getting my teeth worked on Dissipates because of the caring and gentle team that enters the room. I can't say Enough great things about this place!

My family has been going the Center for Advanced dentistry for over ten years! The staff is very friendly, communication is great and the doctors are extremely skilled! I needed a few crowns and, thanks to Dr. Bernstein, they were painless!

The staff and and doctors are always so professional and welcoming! I can honestly say that I look forward to my cleanings.
