Karin has been with The Center for Advanced Dental Care since 2000. She was a former faculty member in the Mount Ida Dental Hygiene Program. Karin actively volunteers for various dental events to better the greater community. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and Massachusetts Dental Hygiene Association. She attends Yankee Dental Congress yearly, keeping current with continuing education courses. She received her BS in dental hygiene from Northeastern University, graduating cum laude, and received her master of management degree with a healthcare concentration at Cambridge College. Karin enjoys running, playing the piano, going to the beach and spending time with her two daughters and family.
In 1992, Lana joined The Center for Advanced Dental Care as a dental assistant. Her love of dentistry blossomed and Lana went on to receive her dental hygiene degree in 1999. Lana frequently attends continuing education courses and is dedicated to providing the best possible care to her patients. She strongly believes that oral health and hygiene are an extremely important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In her free time, Lana enjoys traveling, cooking and dancing.
Liane joined The Center for Advanced Dental Care as a registered dental hygienist. Earning her bachelor of science degree from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene (MCPHS University), Liane is dedicated and passionate about the work she does. In school, she joined multiple dental organizations and performed community volunteer work to help improve smiles and educate on the importance of oral health. Growing up just outside the city of Boston, Liane has always loved the city and everything that comes with it. In her spare time, she enjoys going to baseball games and reading, and she is working on learning a new language!
Laurie is a certified dental assistant who received her education from Southeastern Technical Institute. She graduated in 2005 with the highest honors. Laurie has been working alongside Dr. Kaplan and staff since 2006. She continues to expand her dental knowledge each year by taking continuing education courses. Laurie enjoys working with such a professional, fun and energetic team and providing the best-quality care to our patients.
Sheryl graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in education. She had worked as an educator in various school systems in Massachusetts for 10 years before entering the dental field. During her time as a teacher, Sheryl wrote grants and funded programs in the Wayland School System. She has participated in the Just Like Me program introducing 4th grade students to physically challenging conditions that affect many children (blindness, hearing impairment and other physical disabilities). Sheryl was president of the Wayland High School PTO for two years and was involved in many fundraising events for the middle school and high school.
