The Center 4 Smiles has combined the talents of three of the best specialty doctors to bring their patients one complete dental specialty experience.Each doctor reviews, discusses, and brings their professional expertise to every case brought to the Center. By having all three doctors work on every patient, we are insuring that all of our patients get the best dental specialty care possible.
Dr. Orphanos is a Board Certified periodontist. He became a periodontist at the young age of 27. He attended Dental School at SUNY Stony Brook and then pursued his specialty training at Tufts University in Boston.
He is an educator and lecturer in the field of dentistry and maintains 2 study clubs. The purpose of the study clubs is to maintain a high level of dental education and educate the local referring dentists. His study clubs often discuss the specific areas of implants, LANAP laser surgery, and microscopic endodontics as well as educate members of his study club on the management of complex dental cases.
Dr. Prusakowski is highly trained endodontic specialist who attended the prestigious post-graduate program at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Prior to specializing in Endodontics he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, and served for 4 years providing dental care to active duty members of the Navy and Marine Corps.
Dr. Prusakowski performs his endodontic procedures using a precision dental operating microscope. This technology allows him to work with complete visibility through a smaller access cavity in the tooth- which keeps the tooth stronger and prevents issues with untreated areas in the tooth that happen when there is not adequate visibility.
Dr. Prusakowski is a founding member of the International Academy of Endodontics, a group of the premiere endodontic clinicians from around the world which meets yearly to promote non-commercial endodontic and scientific continuing education for its membership. He lectures nationally for Orapharma on their anesthetic buffering system and is a member of the Onset Speaker Bureau, to educate dentists and specialists on how to give pain-free and predictable dental anesthesia. In his free time he enjoys golf, playing with his dogs, and traveling with his wife Dr. Jennifer Statler.

Dr. Hescheles completed his undergraduate studies at Clark University and went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1993. He then completed a one year General Practice. Residency at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He returned to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he completed a three year certification in Periodontology and Implantology in 1997. While at Penn, Dr. Hescheles served as a clinical instructor.

If you want the best treatment and the best care, then you go to the best doctor. Dr. Orphanos is the best. He keeps up to date on the latest technologies and treatments. The staff is very professional and attentive. The office is clean welcoming. I am highly confident in Dr. Orphanos' work and abilities and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top notch periodontist.

I've been going to Dr Orpanos for almost 9 years. I inherited gum disease so therefore I have lots of bone loss. He's helped save my teeth longer then I expected. He's a great periodontist and a wonderful honest man that I trust explicitly. Dawn is my hygienist and I thank her equally for all the great cleanings through the years. Staff/doctor stayed after what would have been closing hours on a Friday to help me. If there is a thing as "best root canal ever", then this experience was it. Very friendly, professional and put my nerves at ease. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

I can't imagine that there's a finer oral surgeon than Dr.Orphanos anywhere. Having endured a fair share of major dental work, not all of it favorable, going to the dentist is traumatic for me, but Dr. Orphanos' expertise, skill and speed absolutely blew my mind. I never experienced one second of pain during or after the surgery, nor was there any swelling or bruising. The entire staff are wonderful as well. Now I understand why he is so highly regarded by his peers.
