Dr. Mark Paciorek has been practicing orthodontics for over 20 years! He received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist prior to and during dental training. He attended the University of Buffalo Dental School for both his dental degree and specialty training in orthodontics at the masters level, graduating at the top of his class.
In his pursuit of continued excellence, Dr. Paciorek has attend numerous continuing education programs throughout the years to maintain and deliver the highest quality of care, and, because of his relentless pursuit of excellence, he is a frequent lecturer, sharing his orthodontic expertise at dental society meetings and dental study clubs throughout North America.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, Onondaga County Dental Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, and co-chair of the Upstate New York Dentofacial Abnormalities Group.
I grew up in the Syracuse area, and nothing gives me more pleasure than being able to provide my hometown community with excellent orthodontic care. The people I treat arent just patients; they are also my family, friends, and neighbors. I strive to give each patient I see friendly, personalized attention and develop meaningful relationships with them during and after their treatment.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with mydaughter, Melanie. You can find me skiing or snowmobiling in the winter and boating or golfing during the summer months. I also enjoy reading to the first and second grade classes in the elementary schools each year.

I went here for the first time on April 27, 2022 to have some repair work completed as a first time client. I did not have to wait at all and was seen instantly by the first staff member who was very friendly and efficient. So clearly explained the process, my options, and how payment would work. Dr. Weissend was very friendly, professional, and sharp. I appreciated her friendly yet direct approach. She performed the procedure ahead of schedule without any problems at all. The entire team was willing to work with me to accommodate my preferences for treatment. They did provide me multiple treatment routes, which I appreciated. I would highly recommend this orthodontist to anyone who is looking for a clean, professional, and honest practice.

I had a truly phenomenal experience at Celebrating Smiles Orthodontics in Ithaca! The entire staff made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. They are incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and my experience from start to finish was seamless. I walked away confident that I am in amazing hands.

In the long run I am so glad I went through all of this!!! If they ever say it's going to be a little uncomfortable then it's simply going to hurt... a lot... however after 3 days at the most the pain goes away and you can start to eat solid foods again!!! You will never find anything as rewarding as this without there also being a fair share of pain involved, but trust me it is so worth it!!!

Everything was run safe and smoothly, they minimized traffic between patients and I had a seamless alignment of my teeth. I would highly recommend them for their customer service and great results with my teeth.

I'm not a fan of the dentist but loved my experience getting a root canal here! I was in a lot of pain and the root canal immediately relieved all of my discomfort. My original appointment was a month and a half wait but because of some cancellations I ended up getting an appointment in a week. The women who work here are so wonderful! I highly recommend Dr. Kathryn Karpinski!

Please avoid this orthodontist! I got traditional braces done here a few years ago and in the process of removing the brackets, they sanded down chunks of enamel from my molars, making them extremely thin. They didn't even take all the cement off! Also, it took over a month to get my teeth molded for a retainer and they have already started to shift back

I was a transfer patient from Toronto, Canada and decided to continue my treatment at the Orthodontic Group of the Finger lakes after I moved to Ithaca, NY for grad school last Fall. I have to say that the dental staff handled my transition with care and patience. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was treated graciously and my needs were attended to. They took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. I had concerns with an impacted tooth which was still being pushed into place, and I was unsure if the gap would ever close and align with the rest of my teeth. But Dr. Fowler assured me that it would and they paid close attention to that issue with patience and great attention to detail. I just recently completed my treatment and my teeth look amazing! I have truly been impressed with the professionalism and expertise at this practice and I would not hesitate to refer others here. Thank you to the team for a fantastic job!
