Dr. Jansen is an incredible dentist, I came to him and had some anxiety about the procedure and I didn't even feel a thing. He was so patient and professional. Did a fantastic job. And I would never hesitate to go back to him and his staff. Really impressed.

Have to give a five star rating for Dr. Curtis Jansen's Dental Group in Monterey Ca. During these times where everyone lives in fear of one thing or another Dr. Jansen's Dental Group is the place to be. Everyone and I mean everyone has worked hard to make you feel very safe all the time during your visit. My husband and I recently had dental work, excellent by the way. We are seniors and need to be very careful. Be assured that all the Doctors and staff are working above and beyond to keep the office COVID-19 free. Both my husband and I would highly recommend Dr. Curtis E. Jansen office.

Dr. Jansen, and every member of his staff, could not be nicer...I enjoy a wonderful experience every 6 months. Knowledgeable and friendly.

You wrote a review for CEJ Dentistry: Curtis E. Jansen, DDS Yesterday 1.0 star rating 2/20/2020 I went here to get my teeth cleaned and get a baseline checkup for any future care. Instead I got a migraine headache from the scent used in the office, inaccurate information about my blood pressure, sold some expensive dental scans that were unnecessary and still waiting after six-months wait for insurance reimbursement after the office assured me they would bill my insurance after paying the $400 plus bill for a simple cleaning on the day of service. And yes, I called about the use of scents ahead of time and was misinformed by two people that there were no scents used in the office--there were scents sticks in the middle of the office near the treating areas. I told them I would not be able to come in if there were scents, so apparently they "forgot" to tell me about the bunch of scent sticks in use in the office. A nurse took my blood pressure with the wrong size cuff--which gave a false reading. [My primary dr demonstrated this to me the next day--perfect blood pressure with the right size, false reading with the wrong size within a minute of each other] As I was leaving Dr. Jansen. warned me in a public location in front of other people that I might have a heart attack if I had to brake suddenly, relying on this inaccurate blood pressure reading and that I should be on a RX for the same reason. Never mind that I went there to get my teeth cleaned at a dental office. He also suggested that I exercise more regularly--even though I swim and walk on a regular basis and have a heart healthy diet. It was obviously profiling based on my physical appearance and age. I had a brief routine exam, a dental scan usually undertaken for more advanced work, and a teeth cleaning. I was charged over $400 for that work, and asked to pay on the spot. After waiting months for my dental insurance to reimburse, I contacted the dental insurance--no claim received. Apparently this office sent it to an outdated address. Now in the 6th month of waiting for payment--they did not check the box on the form to send the payment to me--it went to Dr. Jansen again. So now, I have to wait for them to mail it to me, which they sent by certified mail --without giving me an option to pick it up or just mail it to me. The certified mailing will require that I either wait at home for the postman, or take a trip to the post office to pick it up at some point in time. I wrote to him after my initial experience and did not get a response. I have called his office 3 times and asked to speak to him, all to no avail. The entire experience was very unprofessional. I would recommend that anyone considering coming here get an estimate first for services, then check with another comparably trained dentist for a second opinion. A good friend of mine did just that and saved thousands of dollars.

I have been Dr. Jansen's dental patient for 16 years. Due to poor dental care as a child, I have had to have 5 implants. They have all been under Dr. Jansen's care. The outcome was simply fantastic with zero difficulties. I have a beautiful smile now at age 81yrs. Dr Jansen is the BEST!

I have been going to Dr. Jansen for 4 years. Since December of 2014, I have seen his hygienist every 4 months. They took FMX in January of 2016 and in June of 2018. In November of 2018, I had a minor cavity that fell out and left a space in the front tooth. Dr. Jansen was on vacation so I had to go to another local dentist to get it filled. While there, this other dentist noticed several issues with other teeth that Dr. Jansen did not mention. I sent the x-rays, from the other dentist, to Dr. Jansen, and have since found out that my upper right bridge has almost totally eroded on the front tooth (#4) and even a root canal won't save it. So NOW, unbeknownst to me, I need a minimum of two implants and two crowns for a new bridge!! Or three implants and three crowns if I break up the bridge. Why was this major issue not previously noticed before it got to the "too late to save it" time-frame? I entrusted Dr. Jansen with the expertise and ethics of a professional to keep me apprised of the condition of my mouth. Unfortunately, I have to now spend a minimum of $15,000 or more, due to his negligence. I do not have this money for the work required. I'm wondering if he would offer to pay me this amount? Additionally, because of these new findings, he has decided to discharge me of his services; not wanting to take any responsibility for my current and expensive issues. Was this a "sound program of dental care"? I think not.

I have gone to Dr. Curtis Jansen for about 15 years, if not longer. I needed teeth for implants and a bridge for various teeth, caps over my front teeth that cracked or chipped over this long period of time. I find Dr. Jansen to be very hard working and exacting beyond my standards. He's a total perfectionist with the tooth, the color and proper fit. He has a great team of ladies who are all excellent, and Frank who works in the lab, right on site. Planning to see him again in about 8 months, for another implant tooth. I would not dream of going anywhere else. Have recommended him to friends and they have all been very happy.

This guy is nice enough but he's in a dead rush to see as many patients as possible. I need some bridge work re- cemented and it should have been a simple job. He didn't use the proper pigment in the cement. Now my bridge shows through my tooth making it gray in appearance. So now I have a gray front tooth. He was rushing around the office dealing with wealthy patients that day. When I was in the chair I overheard his assistant ask about the pigment and he said, "we are going with the clear". He later apologized for the mistake but never made any effort to correct it. This is probably because it can't be corrected. I'm stuck with a gray tooth when I look in the mirror every morning. What would you do?
