I had a root canal redone today and it was a terrible experience. Shots were given to me with no numbing, excruciatingly painful. During the more than hour long procedure, at no time did the dentist explain what was happening or what he was doing. He chipped the enamel on the tooth next to the one he actually was working on. I am so angry and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Dr. Hansen is very personable and takes time to explain all your procedure options with you. I never felt rushed and the staff made me feel extremely informed so I could decide what to do. My procedure went flawlessly. I highly recommend Dr. Hansen and his staff to anyone needing their care.

We was sent to there office from another dentist for our sons root canal. The day of the appointment, they took our insurance info and informed me we would need to pay x amount up front that our insurance wasn't going to cover for the root canal. Also had to pay $100 dollars up front for a CT scan that was not covered under our insurance. I paid the amount the day of the procedure. What the issue is, their office did not fully check our insurance and pushed us through the root canal. Our son had had a prior root canal (That I told their office that day before the procedure) that did not work on that tooth by another dentist office. We received another bill for an additional $750.00 a few weeks later that our insurance wasn't going to cover for the root canal. Due to the prior one being done on the same tooth in under two years time. Had the office looked into our insurance correctly, they would have seen this. We was a few months away from being out of the two year insurance blackout for this tooth. After receiving the bill from Cedar Valley Endodontics I called my insurance company and asked them what the issue was. My insurance company told me after the fact, they would have paid the majority of the procedure had it been checked correctly. If we had waited those few months to have the root canal done, we would have been out the of the 2 year period. Saving us a lot of money we now have to pay out of our pockets. I made multiple phone calls into their office they have taken my info but have never done anything to call me back in regards to all of this. Only thing they have ever said is they will try and resubmit it to my insurance. It is obvious to me they do not care about the patients but they do care about money. I have no issues paying a bill for service, but I do have an issue when that bill could have been hundreds of dollars less out of my pocket.

Had my first ever root canal done here. It was very fast and I did not feel any pain during the procedure. I would recommend this place to anyone.
