Dr. T has been working in Cedar Falls since June of 1977. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his DDS degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Mac is a 1979 Graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He was born and raised in Clarion, Iowa and moved to Belmond, Iowa shortly after graduating from Dental School where he had a private General Practice there for 22 years.
Dr. Hannah Leuschen to the CVDA family! Dr. Leuschen is originally from Garner, IA but has been practicing in the Cedar Valley for the last 3 years. She attended Central College for her undergraduate where she met her now husband, Jordan, who works with Financial Architects in Cedar Falls. After graduating from Central she moved on to the University of Iowa where she received her DDS.
Dr. Sam Kim joined the CVDA team in May of 2019. He is originally from Daegu South Korea and moved to the United State in 2006 to pursue his college degree. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate degree and received his DDS from the University of Iowa in 2014.
Dr. Keith Mahipala, or Dr. Keith, joined the CVDA team in September of 2019. He is from Plano, Texas and attended Stephen F. Austin State Univeristy for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Keith attended Baylor College of Dentistry for his DDS and then made his way to Fairbanks Alaska where he practiced at the Tanana Chiefs Conference before joining CVDA.
Dr. Josh Hones,or 'Dr. Josh' joined the CVDA team in June of 2021. He is originally from Pella, IA. He attended Wartburg College in Waverly for his undergraduate degree and received his DDS from the University of Iowa in 2019. In 2019 Dr. Josh returned to his hometown to work at Recker Dental Care in Pella before deciding to make the trek up to the Cedar Valley. Dr. Josh and his wife Megan enjoy spending time outdoors, bike riding and travelling.

When you go in to get your teeth cleaned I think its a fair assumption that your bill isn't going to be in the hundreds of dollars. Yet even though 6 months ago they did x-rays they wanted to do them again this time. In fact they even stated it was a state law, yet chapter 147, 153, and 272c speak nothing of it (although all i did was briefly look). The total for everything was going to be $270ish, but was only $148 because I decided not to do the the x-rays. My goal is to take care of my dental health, yet today I felt taken advantage of and I received a subpar teeth cleaning.

Absolutely awesome, professional, kind, friendly and compassionate. Broke a molar with existing filling(28 years old), Dr. Mcconaughey removed old filling and replaced with a new one all within an hour. Would highly recommend.

Refused to just clean my teeth without a set of X-Rays, I just had x-rays by the same office two months prior. After being refused service, I overheard staff talking down about me while waiting on my wife in the lobby. Very unprofessional

The sign out front says, "we cater to cowards " and they do! They are always so nice and respectful and make me feel comfortable. I don't even get nervous going to the dentist anymore!

I've only had one bad experience here, but that was bad communication on both ends, but it wasn't even bad. The staff are all kind and make you feel like you belong. I'd recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I really like Dr. Megan Brummer! She is such a good dentist! I wish I would have had an awesome dentist like her when my children were young! And Laura is an amazing dental hygienist! She is so gentle! The staff at the Waverly office are all so great. They go above and beyond to help anyway they can.
