Dr. Swenson grew up in Waukon, Iowa. She has fond memories of swim meets with her brother, summers on the lake with her family, and running a christmas tree farm for the holidays! Her father was the local general dentist in time, and she admired his dedication to his community while she was growing up.
She attended Luther College, majoring in biology. She went to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, obtaining her dental degree in 2010. Dr. Swenson then completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa. Following graduation, Dr. Swenson became the owner of Cedar Rapids Pediatric Dentistry in 2012, taking the practice over from Dr. Mike Walker who had established the practice 20 years earlier.
Dr. Swenson lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She and her husband have two kids and a yellow lab. Dr. Swenson loves to take family bike rides. She enjoys spending time with her children - whether it's cooking with them or just playing outside! Her family loves to travel.She enjoys cooking, working out, and reading. Her family loves to cheer on the Hawkeyes whenever they can! Go Hawks!
Dr. Swenson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She isan active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Iowa Dental Association.
Dr. Teresa Geneser grew up in southern Massachusetts. She grew up with lots of cousins and family nearby.When she was little, she spent summers visiting her grandparents in Portugal,and she and her sisters playeda lot of soccer!
She completed her undergraduate degreeat the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry. She attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, graduating in 2008. After completing a general practice residency at Brown University, she went on to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry, obtaining her certificate from the University of Iowa.
Prior to joining Cedar Rapids Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Geneser was in private practice for three years in Iowa City. She joined Dr. Swenson at Cedar Rapids Pediatric Dentistry in 2014 and became a partner and owner in 2017.
Dr. Terry and her husband have three children, two dogs, and a very busy schedule! She enjoys cooking and family hikes. Her children like to make messes (but we call it creativity). The Geneser family enjoys swimming, game nights, and bike rides. They still find time to cheer on the Hawkeyes when they can!

Dr. Ursula Diehl grew up in Iowa and has lived in Iowa City since 2005. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa majoring in integrative physiology. She continued her health science studies at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, graduating in 2015 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, Dr. Diehl successfully completed a two-year post-graduate residency specializing in pediatric dentistry, also at the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!).
Dr. Diehl is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Iowa Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Diehl is committed to providing the best dental care possible for her patients, while making visits a fun and positive experience.
