Its an awesome combination of science and art and allows him to see the transformation in his patients confidence and attitude. He has a talent for explaining technical dental concepts in a way thats easy to understand. Plus, he is straightforward and compassionate with all his patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Courtney enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cheering on the Seattle Sounders, hiking, camping, climbing, mountaineering, skiing, snowboarding, and photography. He was drawn to Washington for its many outdoor activities and beautiful landscape. He moved to Seattle in 2014 and has enjoyed making it his home.

Dr. Huong Tran was the previous owner of our dental practice. She has served the community for over 25 years as a dentist and now helps our afternoon and Friday patients. She enjoys improving our patients oral health, appearance, and outlook on life with treatments ranging from dental crowns to tooth replacement.
Dr. David Tang grew up in Calgary and Toronto, Canada. He graduated with Honors B.Sc. with a double major in biochemistry and human biology at the University of Toronto and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the same alma mater. He continued his education in Seattle where he completed a multi-disciplinary residency in advanced education in general dentistry, honing his skills in treating complex cases in a diverse patient population.
Dr. Tang began practicing in 2020 and joined our team at Cedar Dental Group in 2022. He is passionate about dentistry because it gives him the privilege to be part of his patients lives, protect their oral health, and help their smiles stay healthy. Patients love that Dr. Tang is attentive to details and strives to provide comfort-focused care.
When he is not enjoying time in the office, Dr. Tang can be found reading interior design books and hiking on the trails and mountains of the PNW with his curious number of film cameras. Recently, he has been learning how to ski like a true Canadian.

This posting is on behalf of Hitomi Hermanns, my wife. Dr. Tran saw me the very next day after I called with a new crown, made and cemented by another dentist, had come off weeks after being placed. Dr. Tran explained that the crown had been sized too large, and explained the options going forward, including ultimately making a correctly sized crown should the oversized one come out again. Dr. Tran, as of today, is my dentist, and my previous dentist is not. My husband is making the same switch. Dr. Tran has my confidence, explains very well the issues and I feel safe being his patient.

PATRICIA is the best. I have been in multiple times over the past year and a half. She always makes me feel at ease even if she is not directly working with me. She always shows concern with making sure I am always getting much needed work done on my teeth. She has also put on two crowns and was perfect both times. I must also commend Bonnie at the front desk for always scheduling me and explaining insurance and showing me how important it is to have these appointments so I can improve my oral health. These are the reasons why I will always come to Cedar Dental Group.
