Dr. Ashlee Cave grew-up in French Lick, Indianaand graduated Valedictorian of her Springs Valley High School class in 1997. She went on to Indiana University to study nursing and chemistry. She was invited into the Alpha Chi honors society in her second year, a societyreserved for select top ten percent of students. In 2002 she graduated summa cum laude while receiving herBachelor of Sciencedegree.
Realizing her love for art and passion for health, she decided to pursue a career indentistry.Continuing her education at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, she graduated as a member of theOmicron Kappa Upsilonhonors society while earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. During her last year of school, she was elected by the faculty to teach first year students in anatomy and laboratory classes. She graduated with the highest number of awards in her class including: The Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists/Sullivan-Schein Award, American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award, The Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award and invitation forlifetime membership to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dentalsociety. In the summer of 2006, Dr. Ashlee joined her father in practice and theypartnered to establishCave & Cave Family Dentistry.
After receiving her degrees, Dr. Ashlee hascontinued intensive educational training to provide the highest level of care for her patients. More than doubling the state requirements for continuing education hours, she has concentrated in areas of implant dentistry, orthodontics, pediatrics, and cosmetics.Her goal is to bring state-of-the-art health care and offer the most current treatment optionsto a small town, children and adults. Samantha Emmonsis a dental hygienist at Cave and Cave family dentistry. She graduated University of Louisville in 2001 with Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene, and joined Cave and Cave family dentistry in 2005. She is licensed to work in Indiana and Kentucky and also has local anesthesia license from the state of Indiana in 2011. She has 2 daughters, Alexis and Anistyn, who she enjoys spending her free time with.
Shirley Jonesis a dental hygienist at Cave and Cave family dentistry; she has been practicing here since 1996. Shirley graduated Lakeland College in Mattoon, IL in 1980 with Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene. She also received a local anesthesia license from the state of Indiana in 2012. Shirley is married to David and they enjoy spending their time with their children and grandchildren.
Linda Carnes isour office manager at Cave and Cave family dentistry. Her duties include handling insurance claims and helping patients at the front desk with scheduling and insurance questions. She has been with the practice since 1998. Linda graduated from Indiana University in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Linda is married to Ron and they have 2 kids; Chloe and Isaac. Linda is active in the community and enjoys her volunteer time with Tri Kappa Sorority of French Lick.
Melissa Switzerhas been withCave and Cave family dentistrysince 2007. She works in the front office and has a variety of duties, including scheduling patients and filing insurance claims. She is a certified expanded functions dental assistant she received her certification from University of Louisville. She is a licensed dental radiographer and also has her certificate in coronal polishing from University of Southern Indiana. Missy is married to David and they have 2 sons.
Danielle Allenis a dental assistant at Cave and Cave family dentistry. She has been with the practice since 2004. She attended University of Louisville where she received certification as an expanded functions dental assistant and is a licensed dental radiographer. Danielle is married to Darren and they have 2 sons. They enjoy riding their motor cycle, kayaking and all sorts of outdoor activities.
Ashley Knightis a dental assistant at Cave and Cave family dentistryand joined our practice in 2015. Ashley graduated from University of Southern Indiana in 2011 with an associate of Science, and also received her expanded functions dental assistant certificate. She is also certified in dental radiology and coronal polishing. Ashley is married to Brooks and they have 2 yorkies that she spoils like kids! She enjoys spending time with her family, her nieces and nephews in particular. And with the little free time she has she enjoys consulting for Mary Kay, and volunteering with Tri Kappa Sorority of Orleans.
Kathy Qualkenbushis a dental assistant at Cave and Cave family dentistry; she joined our team in 2008. Kathy attended University of Louisville and is a certified expanded functions dental assistant. She also has certification in dental radiology and coronal polishing. Kathy is married and has 2 children. She enjoys spending her free time with her grandson.
