Dr. Robert Cavanaugh attended Valparaiso University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in biology in 1994. He completed his dental studies at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1998. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgeryfrom Indiana, Dr. Cavanaugh continued his education at NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdaleto obtainhis orthodontic specialtyeducation in 2001.Dr. Cavanaugh became board certified by the American Board of Orthodonticsin May2005.
Dr. Cavanaugh is committed to providing the highest level of care to each of his patients. As part of that commitment, he completes many hours of continuing orthodontic education each year. By attending conferences, seminars, and lectures, he remains current on new technologies and treatments.Dr. Cavanaugh is also an active member of the Dental Excellence in Northwest Indiana Study Club.
Dr. Cavanaugh and his wifeHeatherlive in Valparaiso with their five children: Samantha, Matthew, Tommy, Rebecca, and Brady. He is active in his communityas a member of the Valparaiso Rotary Club and theChamber of Commerce and enjoys coaching his kidsyouth sports teams, playing basketball, and flying.
I have always had a passion for helping people. This passion originated from my parents who taught me how to treat people well and do quality work. Dentistry runs in my family, as my father, sister, and wife also chose to pursue careers in dentistry. I love to create beautiful smiles in my communityand am constantly amazed by the impact a person's smile can have on their life.
Dr. Nondorfbelieves in lifelong learning.He attends multiple continuing education events and is a member of the Excellence in Orthodontics Study Club and president of the Dental Excellence in Northwest Indiana Study Club.
These activities enableDr. Nondorf to staycurrent on the latest techniques in orthodontics, including the use of Customized Insignia Braces, Invisalign, and laser dentistry.By remaining current on developments in the field, he ensures his patients receive the best possible care.
Dr. Nondorf was raisedin Valparisoand attended Valparaiso High School where he met his wife,Jamie. They live in Valparaiso withtheir five children: Ella, Anna, William, Jack, and Ben. In his spare time, Dr. Nondorf enjoys working in his yard, spending time with his family, and reading/making up stories with his children.

Our comprehensive Treatment Fees include all orthodontic appliances necessary to complete treatment, all treatment visits, upper and lower retainers, and two years of post-treatment care.
We are pleased to accept the assignment of Insurance benefits. Our experienced staff will help determine your orthodontic insurance coverage and submit the claims on your behalf. If you have an orthodontic benefit, we would be happy to contact your insurance provider and submit the proper documentation tohelp you get the maximum benefit.

My oldest child just finished his braces treatment with C&N Ortho. My second child finished Phase 1, and is the middle of his second phase of braces. We are entirely satisfied with the full process. The doctors and staff have been wonderful: friendly, accommodating, and always willing to answer questions. The atmosphere is great and my kids' smiles are amazing.

As an adult getting braces again, I had so much anxiety. I was calmed as soon as I entered their doors! I cannot say enough about the doctors and their staff. Amanda has worked on me and she is so gentle and patient. She is a huge asset! My teenage daughter also had braces here and her results are phenomenal. She loves the staff as well. If you are looking for a place with friendly, patient, caring assistants, wonderful doctors, an accommodating, friendly front desk staff, and outstanding, quality care and results, this is your place! I wish I could give them more stars!

Wonderful staff , but watch out with the permanent retainers they do not tell you that they can cause tooth rot. Also, be aware that your child , can drive themselves in and tell them to take off the braces ahead of time without parent consent!! I figured since I was paying the bill they would have given me the Courtesy of calling me to confirm this is what I wanted!
