Dr. Catherine Fascilla and staff are dedicated to providing quality dentistry in a caring environment. We strive to provide the most up to date techniques and services and keep current with the latest technological advances. In practice since 1991, Dr. Fascilla has gained a reputation for excellence and is highly regarded by her patients. Patients and visitors describe the office as friendly and cheerful. Anxious patients have said that Dr. Fascilla is calming and the office decor is warm, soothing and comforting.
Dr. Fascilla graduated at the top of her class from Georgetown University Dental School in 1989, after attending St. Johns University where she earned a Bachelors degree in Chemistry in 1985. It was not long after working in various dental practices part-time that she developed a vision in 1991 for her own dental practice, a place where patients did not fear the dentist but actually looked forward to coming. She wanted her patients to be educated and empowered. She wanted to build a state of the art office, offering the highest quality of comfort and care at a reasonable fee. She also wanted to create a wonderful work environment for herself and her staff.
Dr. Fascilla is very happily married to her husband Anthony since 1992. He also happens to be a dentist and has a practice with his brother in Garden City. She has two children, a daughter and a son, and is very active in their lives, volunteering many hours at school activities and fundraisers. In addition to her dedication to her family and practice, she is an active member of her church and she belongs to the local chamber of commerce, the civic association and the American Dental Association.
Rose Chiechi, Office ManagerRose Chiechi has been a member of our team since 2011. She has years of experience in healthcare office management. She is one of the first faces to greet you upon entering our office. Her warmth and engaging personality will immediately make you feel welcomed and happy to have chosen our office as your dental family. Not only is Rose a highly capable dental assistant, she is well versed in dental insurance and practice management. She received her dental training from BOCES in Westbury and finished at the top of her class. She also has earned a B.S. degree from St. John's University in Business Administration.
Phyllis Gambale, Registered Dental Hygienist Phyllis received her BS in Biology from Hofstra University and her Dental Hygiene degree from SUNY Farmingdale. She has been practicing hygiene for over 20 years. She joined Dr. Fascillas practice in 2006 and feels she has met many wonderful patients. Patient care and working one on one with people was her primary reason for pursuing the field of hygiene. Phylliss goal is to provide patient comfort and quality care. She enjoys partnering with her patients to establish the best treatment for them both in and out of the office. In addition to hygiene, Phyllis also works in a medical office, a position she has maintained since college. The medical office keeps her well informed on the many changes in medications and treatment modalities. She brings this knowledge to the dental field and it benefits the care she gives to her patients.
Diana Guerra, Registered Dental HygienistDiana began her career as a dental hygienist in 2004 after graduating from SUNY Farmingdale, a natural progression for one whos worked in the dental field since the age of 17. Joining Dr. Fascilla in 2015, Diana has endeared herself to our patients with her infectious smile and gentle touch. When expressing how she feels about being a healthcare professional, Diana says, I consider myself blessed to have found a career in something I truly love. Building strong bonds with my coworkers and patients is so rewarding. It makes going to work and the responsibility of modeling a strong work ethic to my children a pleasure. On her time away from the office, Dianas two beautiful children are her first priority. Beyond that she enjoys reading, running, working out, and spending time with extended family and friends.
Tracy Monniello, Dental AssistantTracy, the newest member to join Dr. Fascillas team brings an impressive 30 plus years of expertise in general dentistry, endodontic, and pediatric dental specialties. She graduated from the Nassau Boces Westbury Program in 1989 after completing two years of study and a 3 month clinical rotation at Nassau University Medical Center. Tracy, a pro at setting people at ease loves her interactions with patients. Shes always eager to learn new dental procedures and techniques, and is eager to explore the myriad of dental materials available to ensure a pleasant yet medically effective patient experience. She can be found throughout the office as her strong clinical and technical skills are complimented by front office competency. In her time away from the office, Tracy loves being with her husband and three children, enjoys reading, cooking, and very often can be found in the dog park with Cody, her miniature dachshund.
