Dr. Thakkar received his bachelors degree in Computer Science from Chicago, Illinois in 2005. He then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored to serve the veterans at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine. He graduated from dental school in 2009 and had an opportunity to help the underserved population in the south of Chicago for two years. He finally deiced to move to Texas in 2011 because he fell in love with the warm weather and warm-hearted people of Texas.
Dr. Thakkar has been practicing dentistry for over seven years and is committed to keeping up with the latest advances in modern dentistry. He completes many times the required number of continuing education hours every year. He genuinely believes every patient should be treated as one of his family members. He is passionate about dentistry and loves helping his patients improve their smiles and quality of life. Dr. Thakkar is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Texas Dental Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Yash when he is away from doing dentistry.

Dr. Su is incredibly sweet and her staff are all really nice, didn't get work done yet, but she was really helpful in explaining everything I need done to get my dental health back into check and even assured me that I can get it all done while I'm pretty much asleep and that makes me excited and anxious for my follow up appointment so I can get my teeth back

I have been bringing my son here for a couple years now and I can say Everytime he does better and better, his dentist Dr. Su is so amazing with him and patient with him being so young! Got an extraction done by Dr Su, and she was amazing, her assistant Jacque was great as well! They explained everything step by step & kept asking if I was okay! Best dental office in Castroville!!

Staff was friendly, Dentist was also nice, however the cleaning was awful! I thought I'd drown before she suctioned me, I had water up my nose from inside of my mouth. She was rough and hurt my gums, I've been getting my teeth cleaned for 40+ years, this was the worse. I won't be returning

Dr.Su is hands down THE BEST dentist I have ever gone to. You can tell she cares about her patients. For someone like me who hates the dentist and gets so much anxiety getting anything done, Dr. Su makes me feel so comfortable and confident in her. She kind and so knowledgeable. She always asks if I'm okay when doing anything . She's patient and answers any questions I have. She's so thorough! I seriously love her and everyone in her clinic is just as sweet and professional. It's such a great atmosphere. I 10000000% recommend Dr. Su! & Castroville Dental. Seriously I could go on and on. No exaggeration. This place and Dr. Su truly are amazing. Thank you to them all that they do and have done for me.

I called this Monday to make an appointment for the end of this week for a broken tooth. I was surprised that the person I spoke with could not answer if they took my insurance, told me that they don't check your insurance one day before your set appointment, which means that if your insurance is not accepted your appointment is canceled or you have to pay out of pocket. When I asked her if they could get the information on my insurance by the next day, she told me I had to call my insurance myself. IN MY BOOK THAT IS NOT PATIENT CARE!!!!! I am in the medical field and know that many times the insurance companies need some important information that only the medical or dental office can answer. BAD,BAD,BAD, FUTURE PATIENT CARE!!!!!!
