Dr. Nakhla was born and raised in the East Bay and attended Monte Vista High School in Danville. He completed his undergraduate degree with a BS in Biology from UC Davis. Dr. Nakhla is a proud graduate of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He continually pursues further training and education in advancements of techniques and procedures to keep his patients happy and healthy.
Dr. Nakhla is also well versed in all the latest restorative & cosmetic procedures including in-office bleaching, Invisalign, porcelain crowns, laminate veneers, tooth colored fillings, dentures, partials, the use of implants to help retain dentures and partials, and more. Dr. Nakhla takes pride in knowing that he offers quality care based on individual needs and wants of his patients. His reputation has been built on the trust and respect of his patients, and he has always had an outstanding, friendly, well-educated staff ready to help patients with all their needs. His professional goal is to evaluate a patients needs, then, in concert with the patient, arrive at a treatment plan that meets the patients goals and expectations. Dr. Nakhla is consistently looking for new ways to advance his practice and believes that continuing education for himself, his team, and his patients is the key to well-rounded care.

He prides himself in being able to offer patients a balanced and complete array of dental treatment options, catering to each individuals needs and desires. Dr. John realizes that the practice of dentistry isnt only about taking care of teeth, but the providing oral health care as part of your overall health. With that in mind, he focuses on providing patient-centered family care. As a doctor, he recognizes that his patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in him and this team. That is just one reason why Dr. Nakhla values each and every patient relationship.
Dr. Mark received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry; San Francisco, CA. Prior to completing his doctorate Dr. Mark earned a BS, in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from University of California.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Mark knew from a young age he wanted to follow his parents footsteps into healthcare. Through many years of studying and hard work, he found his calling to serve the community as a dentist. Away from the office, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. He also enjoys serving in the youth ministry at his local church, playing basketball, and dont be surprised if you see Dr. Mark roaming the office in Bay Area sports gear, especially his beloved Warriors.
Dr. Mark strives to give his patients a beneficial and comforting experience by listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, and explaining their condition. He cares that his patients enjoy their visit while taking advantage of the practices technologically-advanced treatments. Throughout the process he looks forward to building a life-long relationship and sharing some laughs with you.
Born and raised in Cairo, Dr. Linda Nakhla graduated from the premier institution in Egypt, Ein Shams University from their medical school in 1982. She and her late husband, Dr. Hany Nakhla, immigrated to California and brought two sons into the world, Dr John & Dr Mark! Dr Linda returned to school to follow her true passion, the art of dentistry. She graduated from the UOP Dugoni School of Dentistry in 1995. She has since served in her home community of San Ramon, starting her own practice in 2000 until joining forces with her sons at Crow Canyon Dental in 2019. When she isnt taking care of her beloved patients, Dr Linda enjoys traveling and cooking. Her greatest joy in life now, is being grandma.
Dr. Wilson is an East Bay native. He ventured to the Central Valley for college at California State University Fresno. He came back to attend dental school and graduated form the University of California at the San Francisco school of dentistry in 1993. He has completed hundreds of hours of advanced education in various aspects of dentistry.
He is a very busy family man with 3 sons. Ben, Tommy and Matt, and let's not forget his wonderful and supportive wife Eileen. Together they enjoy participating in all their son's soccer, baseball and basketball activities. Dr. Wilson even takes time out to coach and umpire.

I have been so happy with all of my dental work with CVFD. They all are very honest, friendly and my feeling is that they love their job. Called at 8:30am, they had me in at 10am. I had a sever tooth ache and figured it needed to be pulled. They determined it was swollen and mad because of debris. They made a treatment plan for other issues and took care of me on the spot. The staff was all super nice and all have the hands of a butterfly. No pain, outstanding technique. I found my dentistry group. Thank you Castro Valley family dentistry group. Update; Dr Mark has the hands of a butterfly and Cindy is amazing. I had a root canal today, unfortunately they couldn't finish due to my tooth being difficult. They got me an appointment the next day with a specialist. My experience at Castro Valley Family Dentistry has been great! The staff is very patient and courteous. It's been a while since my last dental visit so I was naturally nervous. Tracy did an excellent job on my deep gum cleaning! My experiences there have been very pleasant.

Dr.s John and Mark Nakhla and James Wilson and staff give great service. They are compassionate to patients and each other. They work great as a team. They have new technology which minimizes patients having to make follow up appointments especially for crowns and other more complicated procedures. I highly recommend them.

I don't generally like change. However, recently, I wanted to find a local dentist. I saw the rating on Google so I gave this a try. I was happy to meet Dr. Mark and his cousin, Dr. Adrian and Selena. They are very friendly and professional. Although this was my first visit, I felt very comfortable and they felt like long time friends. This dentistry has the warmth of a family business with the professionalism of a large practice group. I'm very happy I found Castro Valley Family Dentistry.

I am very pleased finding Castro Valley Family Dentistry. Dr. Nakhla, Catherine and the front desk staff are very friendly and I felt very welcome as a new patient. Andrew (hygienist) completed the cleaning thoroughly and comfortably with his gentle hand. Dr. Nakhla clearly explained and very detailed my dental needs.

I am terrified of the dentist. It has always been a horrible experience for me and I avoid going for as long as possible. I was at a point where I waited long enough. I called around and chose Castro Valley Family Dentistry. When I got in, EVERY staff member interacted with was AMAZING. Super down to earth, super sweet, funny and just chill. Everyone made me comfortable which is a job in itself because I'm the worst patient. I feel great about going to my next appointment and now I'm going to make my other family members leave their go here. PS. Double check the door for the "Employees Only" sign before walking in.
