She attended Fort Hays State University before attaining her doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2002. She practiced in Greeley, Colorado, before making the Vail Valley her permanent home.

She has practiced in Eagle, Colorado since 2004 and enjoys the small town atmosphere and community. Dr. Kassmel is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Western Colorado Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry, as well as local study groups. She is the state's only GP Platinum Plus Level Invisalign Provider and has over 500 hours of continuing education hours. She has attended Dawson Center for Advanced Studies as well as TruDenta Occlusal and Headache Academy.

Dr. Melanie Albers is originally from Nebraska. Dr. Albers and her husband, Nate, have two children, Lauryn and Reid, as well as two dogs, Cleo and Artie. She enjoys spending time with her family, fishing and hiking, and reading.

She attended college at Truman State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She attended dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center-College of Dentistry, where she received her degree in 2002. Before moving to Eagle in 2014, she practiced dentistry in Sidney, NEandSpringfield, MO.Sheis a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Western Colorado Dental Association. Dr. Albers has extensive training in pediatric dentistry and nitrous sedation. She has attended over 400hours of continuing education courses, including endodontics and the restoration of implants.

He describes himself as the typical guy who enjoys the outdoors, sports and the science of beer. Ski-ing, camping, football, reading and brewing top the list of his favorite activities away from his family and work. Along with these, his most prized possessions are his church family and being a part of this community.

He attended East Tennessee State University before obtaining his doctorate of dental surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. David owned and practiced at Smiles of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN for 7 years and the last 5 years at Eagle Valley Dental in Eagle prior to merging the latter practice with Castle Peak Dental.

He is a member of several dental organizations and loves spending time pursuing excellence in his profession through continuing education opportunities. He particularly enjoys the surgical and restorative phases of dentistry and attends world renown institutes such as the Kois center for dental excellence, the Pikos Implant Implant, and the Misch Implant Institute to help further his education and skill.

From a military family, Dr. Melina Bjornson spent most of her childhood in Keller, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from University of North Texas and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Before completing her doctorate degree, she lived in the Vail Valley where she grew to love this community deeply. This made the decision to return an easy one. She enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and their two kidsJax and Leilani. Best place to find her outside of the office is on the mountain, snowboarding, hiking, biking, running, or gardening.

Dr. Bjornson is passionate about helping people and their families in the community be a healthier and happier version of themselves. She is looking forward to seeing your smiling faces out and about as well as in Castle Peak Dental!
