She can help you achieve the natural, confident, and long-lasting results you have always wanted! She also enjoys simply listening to her patients, forming a trusting partnership that aids in the development of a comprehensive, successful treatment plan. Interested in learning more about her? Just keep reading below.

Dr. Brownings passion for Dentistry has developed into caring for the entire family with a focus on creating individualized treatment plans. Utilizing advanced dental and cosmetic techniques, she can help you achieve a natural, healthy, aesthetic smile. Dr. Browning has been recognized as a Washington DC Top Dentist by her peers and her patients in several publications throughout the years. Smiles and esthetics are emotional- transformations can be a life-changing moment for a patient. Imagine kids born without front teeth, a mom who has spent years investing in caring for others at the expense of her own well-being, or a person who smiles a certain way or postures himself at a specific angle to hide a perceived flaw.

Dr. Browning is known for her ability to truly listen and involves each patient in the development of their own comprehensive treatment plan to create a warm, engaging smile with longevity and function in mind. Dentistry is constantly evolving. There are new options available today that were not around even five years ago. Dr. Browning has invested hundreds of hours in education and hands-on training in order to provide cutting-edge, long-lasting cosmetic and restorative results.

After completing her initial degree at Baylor, Dr. Browning pursued her dental doctorate at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. She underwent a General Practice Residency at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, specifically focusing on treating patients with special-needs of all ages, and high dental anxiety. Today, her thorough hospital training has prepared her to manage complex dental and medical treatment needs.

Dr. Browning is certified in moderate (conscious) sedation by the Texas Board of Dentistry, which can be beneficial for apprehensive and special-needs dental patients. She has completed advanced educational training in subjects like natural-looking veneers, Maryland bridges, bonding, and Bioclear restorations. She is definitely a lifelong learner!

For the last several years, Dr. Browning lived and worked in Northern Virginia right outside of Washington DC. While raising two little boys, she got to call the Smithsonian and National Monuments her familys playground. After several years of being away from home, Dr. Browning returned to North Dallas to raise her children where she grew up and still has a family. Some of her favorite things include: the hill country, the sounds of cicadas in summer, true Tex-Mex, Blue Bell Ice Cream, and true Texas hospitality. Dr. Brownings heart has always been here in North Texas and she is so excited to raise her boys as Texans.

You've heard of dental fillings and crowns, but have you heard of inlays and onlays? In the past, dental crowns were always the go-to solution for restoring teeth too damaged to be repaired with fillings. But today, there are intermediary options: Inlays and Onlays.

Inlays and onlays (also known as indirect fillings) are strong, durable tooth restorations that are custom made to repair a tooth, and are great options for restoring teeth with medium to large cavities. Large fillings will actually weaken a tooths structure, which greatly increases the risk of the tooth breaking, cracking, and eventually requiring further and more complicated treatment like root canal therapy. And though dental crowns are strong and durable, they always require a significant amount of tooth structure removal in order to fit the crown over the existing tooth, even if a lot of healthy tooth structure exists.

Inlays fill the space in between a tooths cusps (the raised portions on the biting surfaces of teeth) and are used to repair teeth that have decay or damage between the cusps. If damage is too widespread or deep for a simple filling but does not affect the cusps, an inlay may be recommended.

Onlays spread over a tooths cusps and lay on the top of the tooth, molded to restore the shape and structure of the tooth. If patients have a chipped, broken, or decayed area of a tooth that includes one or more cusps, an onlay may be recommended.

During the first visit, your dentist will prepare your damaged tooth, take an impression, and place a temporary filling to protect the treated tooth. The dental impression will be sent to a dental lab to create the indirect filling, which is usually made from shade-matched porcelain.

While inlays and onlays tend to cost slightly more than traditional fillings, they are a great value due to their longevity, strength, stain resistance, and natural appearance. Patients who practice good oral hygiene (flossing and brushing daily) usually see their indirect filling last 10-20 years or longer.

If you have a damaged or decayed tooth and seek to be conservative in your dental care meaning that you prefer solutions that preserve the maximum amount of natural tooth structure while maintaining the form and function of your bite - inlays and onlays could be the perfect choice for you.

Definitely recommend Castle Lake Dental!!! Embarrassingly, it had been around 10 years since I had gone to the dentist. Just never got around to it. Dr. Browning and her staff never made me feel bad for not going or call me out on it. They put together a treatment plan and made sure I understood everything. I was never pressured into different treatments, but instead they made sure I was able to max out my insurance benefits the best way possible. I'll definitely be back!!! In fact, I've already been twice since my first visit and have another scheduled! Can't forget to mention Win, who had the hard task of getting me cleaned up. She did a great job and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.
