Dr. Lucas grew up in East Texas, son of German immigrants, whose father was an MD. It was this personal exposure to patient care and medicine that has given him a lifelong interest in healthcare. He chose the path of dentistry after testing showed strong aptitudes and skills necessary for the practice of dentistry and his natural need to work with his hands. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin University with a business degree he attended Baylor College of Dentistry. It was while at Baylor that he reunited with his high school sweetheart, Evelyn, and they wed shortly after graduating. They raised two sons, Sean and Kurt, while living and practicing in Carrollton since 1989. Dr. Lucas and Evelyn were both very active in their sons chosen sports until both boys went to college. It was after his sons left that Dr. Lucas decided to focus on building his new practice in the premier residential community of Castle Hills. Continuing education in the advances of the dental field and his desire to always improve procedures and materials requires many hours of ongoing training. This requirement along with the growth of his new practice, and visiting, 'The kids,' keep Dr. Lucas and Evelyn busy. When he has some free time he enjoys auto racing events, traveling and visiting his sons and grandson.
Evelyn will be the first smiling face you see when you come in to see us. Her big smile will tell you she is genuinely glad to see you walk in that door! She also has the pleasure of being Dr. Lucas wife. Evelyn loves meeting and socializing with people. She enjoys taking the time to visit with patients whether answering questions or just chatting about their interests. After 22 years of teaching she has decided to take on this new adventure in the dental field. Evie received her Bachelors Degree from Abilene Christian University and her Masters Degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She and Dr. Lucas have 2 precious sons, Sean and Kurt, and an adorable grandson, Matthew David. Sean works and lives in Austin while Kurt is attending Medical School at UT Galveston. Evelyn loves learning about her sons medical interests, reading non-fiction books, working out at the gym and gardening.

Dr. Lucas has been my Dentist since 1993. I requested that he reomve all of my Top teeth and He did eventually. It's been along time. Bottom line. I have Left three messages with his office and One Message on His personal mobile with No return call still 2 Date. Wondering if he is even still in Business. Does Anybody know?

Very nice people and had a great experience while at our office visit. However extremely disappointed that we were told before our appointment that we were fully covered under our dental plan through our work. Then they send us a bill a month later for double what a normal dentist office costs and said they were "out of network". When I called and confronted them they told us that they never said that. Even though they confirmed with both me and my fiance on two separate calls that we were covered. Had I known I was going to have to pay over $100 out of pocket for a cleaning with dental coverage I would have never gone here in the first place. I will be taking my business elsewhere because this has put a bad taste in my mouth.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Lucas and his staff. They are friendly and efficient and the dental work provided has been first rate. Nice that they are in the neighborhood as well.
