Our family has been coming to Dr. Castellanos for close to 20 yrs, however the service has gone down the drain. They always seem to hire the most rude and unprofessional people for the front desk. (Jasmine) The woman at the front desk said she was the office manager, im not sure where they recruit these people or if they are family related that is why they keep them, but they always find the most despicable ones. Lately they make up rules that they don't allow the parents to be with a minor child while they are being attended to. Because supposedly is CDC guidelines which is a bunch of non sense, CDC doesn't say that parents cant be present while a doctor or dentist is performing a check up or procedure on a minor. They don't even have a sign stating that because its ilegal to do that. Even in their website policy it says minor children to be accompanied by one responsible adult, but yet when you are there they don't allow you in, they take your child and the parent is out of the loop, i attached a screen shot of their policy, no where it says you drop off your child and pick him or her when they are done. Ill be sure to contact the dental board of CA to advice of the irregularities they are pushing on the minor patients and parents. This office has no respect for your time, if you book an appointment at 10am they see you at 11am. Dr Castellanos has no acumen of a Dr., he lacks empathy, extremely un professional, rude and un ethical. Stay away from here, find a real Dentist. All you have to do is check his reviews or go there you will see how bad they are.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I strongly advise you NOT to go to this dentist. I got my first wisdom tooth removed recently by Mario J. Castellanos and he did not explain the procedure beforehand or ask if I had any questions after, he just left without saying goodbye either or explaining the proper post-care. I had to come back in another day because I was in pain and concerned about why he stitched my cheek to my incision site and I mentioned that my mom had her wisdom tooth removed but she didnt get her cheek stitched to the incision site and he responded with attitude saying "is your mom a dentist?" ,and she isn't but I know for a fact that if my mom was a dentist she would be way more civilized and well-mannered than he is. I remained calm and mature while he was disrespecting me, which says a lot about his character since I am way younger than him. He was very vague and arrogant towards the questions I was asking about the procedure he did on me even though it is my right to know as a patient. He left in the middle of me asking him questions which is extremely unprofessional and ill-mannered. I felt unsettled to ask any more questions because he does not care one bit about his patients or their concerns with their well-beings. His impudent personality does not belong in this line of work. I have prior experience in the medical field so I know that it was my responsibility to explain the procedures beforehand as well as make my patients feel welcome to ask questions, but Mario J Castellanos did the complete opposite with me. It's a shame that someone with years of experience can still have such a disgusting, impudent, and disrespectful personality. I hope no one else has to go through what I went though because patient's rights should be respected by professionals at all times, and obviously Mario J. Castellanos does not comply with these rights. I will be transferring to a better dentist because there is no way I will return to that hostile environment.
