I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming into my office, every day, many people with unique smiles and stories. Then I get to learn those stories while transforming their smiles. Building real connections with people, while giving them beautiful smiles that boost their self-confidence: what could be more amazing?
I am a second-generation orthodontist and was fortunate to have spent time in my fathers orthodontic practice while I was growing up. It was fascinating to see the transformation of a smile and to see how straightening teeth completely changed a person!
I attended the University of Kansas, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Then came dental school, at the University of Iowa, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). My orthodontic residency, and Master of Science (MS) in Orthodontics, was through the University of Tennessee, in Memphis.
Orthodontics is a constantly advancing specialty. I choose to participate in continuing education (CE) to make sure I am up-to-date on the latest information: not just technical but also the tremendous surge in digital orthodontics.
Through the study groups and the CE offered by the professional organizations, I keep current with emerging research, new methodologies and materials, and the latest trends. By carefully evaluating developments and new options, I am able to incorporate the best those that increase comfort, efficiency, effectiveness into the practice and into patient care.
If Im not at the office, Im often found with friends and family. Marcy, my wife of over 30 years, is currently the Superintendent of Schools for Burlingame, Kansas. We have two sons: one graduated from college and works for a national consulting firmand the other is an undergrad at the University of Iowa and considering law school. Were not completely empty-nesters, though, as we haveFiona and Petunia areour French bulldogswho keep us company.
In my free time, I love to exercise and play golf, though Im not very good at the latter, and I enjoy cooking and singing in my church choir. I am an avid reader, too, enjoying fiction, non-fiction, and business titles.
Being active in my community is extremely important to me, and I know it is the lifeblood of a town the size of Topeka. I am very involved in the Mulvane Art Museum and Art Fair, and have been involved in Red Cross and the Stormont Vail Foundation.

Spent 8 years with this company and loved them. Gave my kids an electric toothbrush, worked with us every step of the way during the treatment, valued our input, and helped us with financing. Friendly and expert. I highly recommend!

All staff including Dr. Cassidy were friendlyand amazing!! Our son was very comfortable and excited for Dr. Cassidy to look at his teeth and see what the plan was going to be. They were very helpful and for our first time being there, they were very informative, right to the point and honest which I love!!!!, and are willing to help us any and every way they can!

Dr. Cassidy's office is very warm and inviting. The staff are kind and knowledgeable. We appreciate how Dr. Cassidy is always willing to wait and see how the adult teeth will move when they come in instead of pushing for surgery or interventions. We have never felt pushed or intimidated to make any choice or commitment. It is very much a team effort with the staff, dentist, patient and parent.

Dr Cassidy is so awesome with the kids. The hygienists are awesome also. My daughter went in for impressions and was nervous. The hygienist distracted her by making a mold of my daughter's hand at the same time she did the mold of her teeth. She did the molds like a breeze because of the hygienist. I would recommend Dr Cassidy and his staff to anyone.

My son's rapid palate expander fell out on our trip to Kansas. Dr. Cassidy and his team got us in the next day and glued it back in for the rest of our 10-day trip. What a relief that was, knowing that our 3 weeks of progress would not go to waste before we could get back home to our dentist! We brought donuts to the staff as a thank you for a no-charge visit!

Dr. Cassidy and his staff are great people. We were in Kansas visiting family and my daughters wire was poking her in the cheek making it very sore. I call to see if they could help us out. They welcomed us in with our being a patient there and took care of her wire and gave us some wax at no charge. I highly recommend Dr. Cassidy and his staff.

I can't say enough nice things about this office! (: My bonus daughter is visiting from out of state and she had a bracket fall off. I called SEVERAL offices in the area, and either they immediately denied assisting us or was super hesitant. This office immediately told me they will put her on the schedule, and was even willing to get her in DAY OF. Unfortunately, we weren't free to come in that day, but they put us on the schedule that week. Staff was kind, considerate, and treated my girl with the best care. YOU. ALL. ROCK!

Always clean, efficient, and professional. They do Invisalign as well as regular braces. They take payments in house. Never had any problems. Always offer a school note for kids that had to miss school. Friendly folks!

I went to Cassidy Orthodontics as an adult whose teeth had shifted after previous orthodontic treatment. Dr. Cassidy was able to fix my teeth relatively quickly and they look great. My experience with Dr. Cassidy was very positive and everyone in the office is great.
