Dr. Cassidy regularly attends continuing education meetings in order to stay current on the quickly evolving landscape of orthodontics. He knows technology is changing our lives in many ways, and orthodontics is no different. Only five years ago, Invisalign patients had to endure difficult impressions that took five minutes each and often needed to be redone. Now, with the use of the iTero Digital Impression System, Dr. Cassidy is able to get an excellent 3D image comfortably in just a few minutes! He is passionate about streamlining treatment to help improve treatment outcomes and shortening treatment time.

Dr. Cassidy has spent much of his career involved with organized dentistry at the local, state, and regional levels. He currently represents Maine on the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, which includes New England, New York, New Brunswick, and Quebec.

Additionally, Dr. Cassidy has been a member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club for 20 years and recently received the Paul Harris Fellow award. He has also received the State of Maine Dental Health Hero award from the Maine Dental Access Coalition at the state house in Augusta. The award was for his work with a Head Start initiative to coordinate with the dental community to find dental homes for Head Start children. He also serves on the Foundation Board at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

As a practice, Cassidy Orthodontics likes to give back to the community and especially help young people to have opportunities to see places and do things that they may not have the chance to otherwise.

Originally from Fort Fairfield, Dr. Cassidy has called Presque Isle home for 29 years. His wife, Kathleen Ledger Cassidy, is a stained-glass artist: Stained Glass by KLC. The couple has two grown sons.Bennett currently attends Florida State University Law School and plans to return to Presque Isle after he graduates. Brock graduated from Bowdoin and is now a vice president at Rocket Homes and lives in New York City. Dr. Cassidys dog Beau loves to run the trails behind the house.

When theyre not working, Dr. Cassidy and Kathleen spent a lot of time at their camp at East Grand Lake:relaxing and doing some fishing. They also enjoy traveling and seeing new things, so they hit the road as often as they can.

Closer to home, Dr. Cassidy likes to golfat Aroostook Valley Country Club, hike, and hunt, and recently has become interested in carpentry while fixing up his home. Healso has his private pilots license and loves flying over the area.

I have a beautiful little home in Fort Fairfield that I love and share with a beautiful cat Pumpkin that keeps me company. I enjoy reading, working around my house, wood crafting, spin classes, and a Dancefit class that is amazing! I enjoy hanging out with my family and love to travel whenever I get a chance. Hi! Im one of the people who will help you during your visits. Ive been with Cassidy Orthodontics since 2009 and am a certified orthodontic assistant. I help Dr. Cassidy and work in the on-site lab making appliances, keep track of our Invisalign patients, and work on our Facebook page.

The best part of my job is meeting all our patients and watching them grow throughout their treatment, especially if they start here when they are young and continue into their teenage years. At that point, theyre practically family!

When I'm not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband Richard of 18 years. We have two beautiful girls Sydney and Sarah. We like to go four wheelingand watching our youngest play sports for the Fort Fairfield Tigers.

Ive been married to Pat for 38 years. We have three grown daughters and three adorable grandchildren. Weve adopted two rescue dogs, Indie and Kiki, whove stolen our hearts, as well! In my spare time, I love hanging out with my family, going out on our side-by-side, and making crafts.

Our treatment options include mini metal brackets, clear brackets, and Invisalign treatment. Over the years, we have seen huge improvements in all our treatments with temperature-sensitive wires reducing the discomfort of traditional treatment. As an early adopter of Invisalign technology, we have the most experience with clear aligner treatment in the area! This experience allows us to treat cases to an excellent finish that would have needed braces in the past. Invisalign now an option to treat at least 75% of our patients!
