He graduated first in his class from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Afterward, he completed his post-doctoral residency at the renowned Childrens Hospital Colorado where he obtained his specialty in Pediatric Dentistry. As an Issaquah, Maple Valley and Kent pediatric dentist, Dr. Nick is committed to providing excellent dental care to every child he treats by utilizing his honest, educational, and collaborative approach.
When away from the office, he cherishes quality time with his wife and 2 young daughters. You can also find him on the golf course, in the gym, skiing, or rooting for his favorite Seattle sports teams.
Dr. Justin was born in Chicago and was raised in Glenview, IL. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). During his time at dental school, Dr. Justin developed a strong passion to dedicate his career to providing care for kids. Upon graduation, Dr. Justin spent additional time at UIC to become a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Hayley Lofquist was born and raised in the Twin Cities metropolitan area of Minnesota and Wisconsin. She grew up in a small town surrounded by nature, which has contributed to a lifelong love of the outdoors!
She received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH) and a Certificate in Public Health with a Dental Emphasis. Her love of working with kiddos drove her to complete her post-doctoral residency in Rhode Island at NYU Langone Hospital, becoming a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. She is also board eligible through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
It is Dr. Hayley's goal to earn each childs trust through a compassionate and gentle chairside manner, instilling a positive experience of the dentist that lasts a lifetime. She values creating lasting relationships with both kids and their families. When she is not conquering sugar bugs, Dr. Hayley and her husband enjoy traveling, discovering local restaurants and coffee shops, swing dancing, hiking in nature, and paddleboarding with their golden retriever, Ruby!

The first two visits were great and the dental assistant was cheerful and accommodating and generally seemed to love kids. Then our dental assistant on our most recent visit did not seem to like kids. She snapped at my daughter multiple times. One time her molar hurt and my daughter closed her mouth. The assistant snapped "well, we've only brushed three teeth." And kept saying negative things the entire cleaning. Then my daughter said she was so good last time she received two prizes. The assistant snorted and said "maybe you'll get one." Then I go to make the 6 month appointment and there were only two appointments available on one day or I had to go to the other clinic! No thanks! I'm not sure what happened with new owners or staff but we're looking for a new dentist!

Cascadia Kids was very patient with my daughter who struggles with anxiety at such places. They were able to talk her into using the cleaning tool and eventually getting the fluoride on her teeth! Thanks!

I am so happy with Cascadia Dentistry. I bring my daughter Allie there every 3 months so she feels more comfortable with going to the dentist. Dr. Nick and his dental assistants are amazing. Big thanks to Tayla for always being so sweet to Allie. Then there's Bri, she goes out of her way to make Allie feel comfortable and special during her visit and always manages to find a hidden balloon Thank you all so much for the wonderful experience we have everytime we come!!

If I could give 100 stars I would. One of the best dentists I have been to EVER. The staff is absolutely fantastic. They genuinely care and you can't teach staff to care they way do. My son aged 7 had a sealant appointment. The first attempt he panicked and we decided to reschedule with laughing gas. Two weeks later we tried again and even with laughing gas the large mouth piece made him panic. The dental assistant was simply an angel with him. She was so patient and kind, answered all his questions and never increased his stress and worry. She consulted the dentist who came in and they both decided to give him a different sealant... one that didn't require this large mouth piece. They continued to finish the work while my son was nonstop talking and being silly on gas then panicking here and there. They kept at it and truly modified care for my son's needs. I was so impressed and thankful. What a wonderful, low stress business for kids. Thank you CKD.

Dr. Nick is normally who my kids see, and he has always been fabulous. Most recently, Dr. Kathie and Tayla serviced my daughter for fillings on FOUR cavities! =O My daughter used to have bad anxiety for dental visits (hence the cavities) until I moved her to Cascadia Kids a few years ago. She now enjoys going without hesitation. I'm not sure she needs the laughing gas anymore! Dr. Kathie and Dr. Nick use perfect and creative words to lead my daughter through each step of the procedure. She has no clue they are administering shots with a giant needle and working on her teeth with metal tools! Their amazing leadership is reflected throughout each member of their staff/team members.

I experienced the worst visit to the dentist in 43 years of living. The hygienists did a great job and were comforting to my daughters as they clean their teeth. The horror started when the doctor walked in and made my five-year-old cry within his first three sentences. I politely asked him to take me into a different room and explain the work that needed to be done to my five-year-old's teeth. He refused to talk to me in private and continue to make my five-year-old cry. His energy and tone was absolutely absurd to the point where I had to tell my daughter to get up let's go. I wasn't sure if it was just my family that were treated like this until I read some of the reviews. It seems that his arrogance and no concept of sensitivity to children has happened many times before. Like I said the office ladies were great, the dental hygienist made my daughters feel great as they got their teeth cleaned but it was like nightmare on Elm Street and the doctor came in the office! Beware!

Everyone - from the front desk staff to the hygienists and doctors - are absolutely amazing. We are so glad that we found Cascadia. My son has literally no fear of the people or procedures. In fact, the last two appointments he's left with a smile on his face and literally giggles as he talks about his upcoming appointments. The staff are great about explaining everything and even better about communicating what any future needs will be for each kiddo. Hope to be coming Cascadia for years to come.

This is the best dentist office for kids hands down!! My daughter was super nervous about going to the dentist since she was used to going to another office but all the staff starting with the front desk were amazing and so welcoming, specially Tayla, she was patient and nice beyond words!! Dr Nick was great as well. My daughter started crying when she went into the office and ended up happy, laughing and telling me she wanted to go to this dentist office again next day lol. Amazing experience, thanks so much!!!

Excellent and thorough service! Their hygienists are always fun and very good at getting kids to engage despite the trepidation of dental examinations. Dr. Raklios is very thoughtful and a great dentist for kids!
