You have a better chance at finding lost treasure than you do a good root canal. But fortunately for you, you don't have to look any further. Dr. Welk and the team over at Cascade Endodontics have made root canals about as painless as possible and I left with absolutely zero pain. A pleasant experience all around and am glad to go back for any more endo work needed.

Nobody wants to get a root canal, but if you have to get one I really recommend Cascade Endontics. Dr. Welk, Shauna, and Nancy absolutely made the experience painless and even enjoyable. They shared their knowledge, made sure to explain all my options, walk me through the process, and were quick and effective in the procedure. They have a beautiful office with all the right tools, and it is in a really chill location with equally chill music. Choose this place if you need an Endontics specialist in SW PDX.

A really good experience, and Dr. Welk did a great job. Several years ago, thinking I might need a root canal, my regular dentist referred me here. Welk did an assessment of my problem at that time and said he couldn't be sure that I needed the procedure. He explained in detail what he thought was going on and told me to come back if the situation changed for the worse. I appreciated that. So when my tooth and gum recently started bothering me more, I returned. Everyone that works here -- including Nancy and Shawna -- is smart, competent and professional. They all communicate well and made sure I was well-informed and comfortable at every turn. The actual root canal took less time than I'd predicted and was pain-free. I was so relaxed in the chair, I caught myself snoring a time or two. He replaced the filling he had drilled out with another permanent (and well-done) filling, making a follow-up trip to the dentist unnecessary. Before I left, Dr. Welk took another X-ray to show me what he had done. I was impressed. In fact, I was impressed with every facet of my experience here. To anyone else in the Portland area who finds yourself in need of a root canal tooth fix, I highly recommend Dr. Welk and his staff. You'll be glad you chose them,

This was the first time I've had a root canal. I got a phone call the from the office the day after I was referred and she was incredibly helpful and provided me with a detailed estimate of my out of pocket expense. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. The staff communicated clearly what information they needed from me before my arrival. Once at the office, I was treated in a genuine way. We have all been to businesses or medical offices where people are trying too hard to be nice. The staff here was great and authentic. The endondist and assistant were fantastic. The procedure was basically pain free and they both did a great job of explaining the procedure and what to expect. I could not have had a better experience.

I was terrified of my visit due to prior bad expierences at the dentist and especially for a root canal but if you are reading this and are in need of a root canal or urgent dental care and are looking for the best place to go stop and call Cascade, Nancy is a very professional and polite receptionist who will get u in as soon as they can and ease your fears. I met with doctor Welk and he discussed the procedure after my evaluation and guided me through my stress and fears of dental needs. Him and his assistant made me feel comfortable and also settled my anxiety with a very gentle touch and very positive attitude I will only be going here for root canals God for bid I need another. My visit was painless, i felt maybe a baby pinch for the shots to numb the area and i mean a 1 out of 10 scale for pain. Cant thank Nancy and Dr. Welk enough 5 stars and do not fear you guys hes simply the best.

Dr. Welk and his staff are friendly and professional. The office is clean and COVID-19 precautions are taken seriously. Having to use his service to redo a root canal from a different endodontist, I was not excited but Dr. Welk took time to explain imaging, plan of care, and debriefed on how each session went (I required two visits). He also answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Welk if you need a root canal (or a redo as in my case).

Great experience. Very professional and friendly. State of the art equipment which makes time in the chair go a lot quicker and easier. Got an appointment within a few days. Doctor and staff communicated everything well and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Environment, setting and decor were very pleasant. I highly recommend using Cascade Endodontics.

I highly recommend Dr. Welk! I recently had my first ever root canal. Having heard past horror stories from friends about their root canal experiences, I admit to being nervous about the procedure. Dr. Welk did an outstanding job. He was capable, collected and a consummate professional! The entire process took less than 45 minutes. I had NO pain in the area even after the anesthesia wore off and none the following day or since. Additionally, the office itself is lovely, has all the latest equipment to provide an accurate diagnosis and his support staff was welcoming and friendly. Dr. Welk is THE endodontist to see if you are ever in need of one!

I can't believe I waited so long to do it. The staff is wonderful and friendly, the place is super sterile with a relaxing feel. I wish I could go here for all my dental needs. They were also very straight forward from the get go about what it would cost which was nice. I was able to plan for it financially and overall it wasn't that bad cost wise. There was no waiting 3 weeks or more to finally get a bill without having any idea what the cost will be after insurance and then hoping you will have enough. I was able to get it done and pay same day. I recommend them for anyone needing a root canal.

Cascade Endodontics got my 15 year old daughter in right away for a root canal before her abscess started to hurt. She was very nervous but they did such a great job that the second visit was no sweat. Very professional, nice office and great staff. Nancy up front gives phenomenal service. We hope not to come back but if we need this kind of work then Cascade is where we'll go.
