Growing up in Spokane, WA, tangled teeth and a crooked bite were as much a part of childhood for Dr. Bacon as little league baseball and summer road trips. Smiling in pictures and in public was infrequent, as insecurities about his teeth continued to grow.
Thankfully, his concerned mother sought help from a local orthodontist and things ultimately changed for the better. After his own treatment yielded a much improved personal appearance and self-confidence, a newfound love for straight teeth led to the pursuit of orthodontics as a career.
Dr. Bacon attended Loyola Marymount University for his undergraduate education, followed by his completion of dental school at The University of Southern California, where he graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). He then spent a year fulfilling a general practice residency at Oklahoma University Childrens Physicians Dental Clinic and VA Medical Center, providing dental treatment for medically compromised children and armed forces veterans. Subsequently, Dr. Bacon was accepted into a full-time, three year orthodontic residency at Roseman University of Health Sciences, which focused solely on advanced orthodontic clinical training and education. He graduated with a certificate in orthodontics and masters degree in business administration (MBA).
