At Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics, Dr. Roberto S. Carvalho, Dr. Menachem D. Roth, andour staffare dedicated to providing all of our patients across the greater Massachusetts area with professional orthodontic services! With office locations in Marlborough, Northborough, and Newton Centre, MA, our highly experienced team offers state-of-the-art technology in a welcoming office environment.

Dr. Carvalho graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in conjunction with post-doctoral training in Orthopedics at the Childrens Hospital in Boston. In addition, Dr. Carvalho has a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Growth and Development and aPhDdegree in Oral Biology, both from the University of Manitoba in Canada and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University.

Dr. Carvalho and his wife, Elsa, have three young children, twins Felipe and Isabela, and Flavia. Dr. Carvalho has a solid character, is warm and caring and relates well to people of all ages. He is also fluent in Portuguese and has a commanding knowledge of French and Spanish. Together with his family, he likes a variety of activities such as traveling, skiing, cycling, reading, but most of all Dr. Carvalho enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.

Prior to his Masters and residency, Dr. Roth earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He was recognized throughout his educational career for his outstanding academic performance and has taken part in advanced research related to facial growth, cleft palate issues and perception of facial aesthetics.

Dr. Roth is a member of many premier orthodontic associations including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). He attends many continuing education conferences in order toinsurethat our patients are always on the cutting-edge of orthodontic treatment. Like Dr. Carvalho, Dr. Roth is committed to offering the latest technologies in orthodontic treatment in order to maximize patients comfort, convenience and achieve great results.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Roth met his wife,Itia, an attorney, at summer camp when they were 12 years old. They have three children, Emma, JoshuaandLeeba, and they live in Newton Centre. Dr. Roth enjoys cooking, hockey and is an avid mountain biker.

Lisas background in financial and market research fields gave her the knowledge that customer satisfaction is crucial in any businesss success. She received her Bachelors degree from Mt. Holyoke College and her MBA from Suffolk University. Lisa currently lives in Southborough with her husband and two beautiful children. In her spare time, Lisa is an active volunteer in her community and she also likes to paint and experiment with new recipes.

Kristy has been a part of the Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics staff since 2009 as our financial coordinator. Within that time, she and her husband have welcomed two wonderful sons into their family. Born and raised in Spencer, MA, Kristy graduated from Westfield State University with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. Her primary focus on the team is making sure all of your insurance benefits are processed correctly, which takes one less thing off of your plate! In addition to being a dedicated mother and employee, Kristy is also a health nut. Out of the office you can often find her cooking up a healthy meal and staying active with her family.

Having been with our team for over 15 years, Patrice is our longest tenured employee. Within that time with us, she has experienced almost every position at the office, however, she is now our treatment coordinator working out of the Marlborough office. She lives in Hudson with her husband and three sons. Prior to her career in orthodontics, Patrice taught third grade and pre-school.

Karen has been with Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics since 2007, and she is currently the treatment coordinator for our Newton Centre office. As treatment coordinator, Karen has the honor of being the first staff member to meet and welcome patients and their families to our office, which she absolutely loves! Originally from Walpole, Karen graduated from Westfield State College with a BA in English. After working in publishing and radio for 10 years, she joined her family business managing one of the largest independent pharmacies in the area. In her spare time, Karen loves spending time with her wonderful son (who recently got his braces off), cooking, gardening and reading.

While Sharon is one of the newest members to our family, she is certainly not new to the wonderful world of orthodontics! Along with over 30 years of dental experience, Sharon graduated from Middlesex Community Colleges Dental Assisting Program, before completing her Bachelor of Arts at Salem State College. She has spent the last 20 years in orthodontics, working in all facets of patient and practice management over various orthodontic practices. Sharon is a life-long resident of Somerville, where she lives with her husband, Bruce, and their cat Jake. She enjoys going on cruises and is an avid photographer.

Ashley has worked at our practice since 2004 as a clinical assistant and Invisalign coordinator, and she absolutely loves clinical orthodontics! Day to day, Ashley is largely responsible for training the clinical staff and working to find new products and techniques to help make them even better at their jobs. In 2010, she completed the Dental Assisting National Board certification and became a certified orthodontic assistant. Prior to joining the Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics team, Ashley studied at Suffolk University. She lives in the Worcester area with her husband Jigger and two boston terriers, Boscoe Marley and Ruby Tuesday. Ashley is a true artist at heart and enjoys drawing, painting and is also a certified professional body art practitioner.

Kimi is a highly skilled clinical assistant that has been with our practice since 2005. She has a passion for continued education and became a COA in 2011 after completing the Dental Assisting National Boards. Kimi grew up in Marlborough just down the street from our office, and loves being able to see so many familiar faces (and smiles) come into the office. Kimi is currently living in Worcester with her husband and daughter, Sadie. She loves hanging out with her friends and family during her spare time. Snowmobiling is her favorite hobby in the winter and in the summer she loves going to the beach.

Hailey became a part of the Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics team in 2009 as an orthodontic assistant. Previously, she spent three great years as a kindergarten teacher, so when it comes to helping the younger patients or those who are a bit anxious, Hailey is right there to help. She lives in Fitchburg, where she grew up, with her three cats and a dog to keep her busy! Hailey loves seeing people smile after they get their braces off and says that its the best part of her day. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, concerts and spending time with her friends and family.

Jessica started her career as an orthodontic assistant in 2001 and then joined our staff in 2009. She says the most rewarding part of her job is seeing the life-changing results that come out of our work. Since Jessica has a passion for making others happy, shes a fantastic fit as one of our COAs. She thrives in our office not just because of her skill set, but because she cares so much about every one of our patients. She currently resides in Grafton with her husband and three children, where shes heavily involved in her kids schools and programs. Outside of the office she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her children, and making memories with friends and family.

Sarah is one of our treatment coordinators where she has found her true passion of working with people and building relationships, which is her favorite part of the job. Prior to joining the team, she worked in the healthcare field in an administrative role. Sarah was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and has been living in Worcester for the last 15 years with her lovely husband, Diogo, and wonderful children, Kevin and Olivia. When shes not working, she enjoys going to church, watching movies with her friends and family and singing!

Mallory has had various roles in the dental field, including assisting, administration and billing, and now she works as a treatment coordinator with us. Her desire to join the dental field began during her own orthodontic care as a teenager. Mallory says that the wonderful staff and orthodontist that treated her inspired her to pursue her career. She is originally from Seattle, Washington, though she also lived in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Massachusetts. She now lives in Clinton with her husband and two adorable yorkshire terriers. In her free time, Mallory enjoys traveling, especially to visit her friends and family that are scattered around the states and abroad. Locally, she loves to visit parks and walking trails around the area. She documents all of her adventures through her beautiful photography.

Lori has been in the dental field since 1999, holding many positions including an assistant, manager, front desk associate and scheduling coordinator. She moved over to orthodontics in 2007 and considers it her favorite specialty. Lori is currently attending school in Farmington to pursue her education degree. She was born and raised in Boston and now keeps busy keeping up with her two young children. Outside of the office, Lori enjoys skiing, hiking, camping and attending as many concerts as she can.
