I called to get pricing on procedures and they wanted me to take the children in. Every Dentist I've called gave me a price on the procedures except this one. It make me feel as though they can overcharge or have something to hide. I should know how much they charge for the stuff insurance will not cover.

My kids loved the environment they felt so comfortable with the tech and the Dentist. X-rays went smoothly and the cleaning was fun for them. The Dentist and her tech was super friendly and good with kids even my 1 yr old cooperated which was a shock. Very pleasant clean office and we were all in and out in no time.

Kind and caring and need I forget to mention how patient they are with my kids. I've been taking my kids to them since 2009 and regret ever taking them anywhere else. And for adults they have a office on W.S. Young Dr. across from the national guard armory before the library.

Love Carus Dental! Our entire family love both Carus and Carus kids. The staff at both clinics are very nice and friendly. They work with you to accommodate your schedule. Patient(s)since 2010!

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst dental experience ever. I would not recommend Dr. Athena to my worst enemy. If you have a special needs child this is definitely not the place. My son is autistic and has been to several dentists due to being a military family. He has never been treated the way he was treated by Dr. Athena. She should be ashamed of herself.

This dental office is great! They took great care of my 5yr old. She loved it and wants to go back. The staff are very friendly. The recptionist was awesome. The atmosphere really make the kids comfortable.

This dental facility was great! It was a little disconnect on how to get in (if we needed to go in through ortho or call), however right now we are still under COVID guidelines so that's understandable. This was the only hiccup of the entire appointment. They were very understanding about me not having the paperwork (printer issues) and I did not feel like I had to rush to fill it out. Once at the back, they took care of both my kids and they made sure that I was informed the entire time of the process prior to them beginning, the during, and after/follow-up care. The kids were comfortable and reassured as well through the process which made it a very easy appointment. A+ and worth having to drive to the other side of town for.

When I first took my daughter in she was scared from previous dentist in one visit they made her comfortable, made sure she was okay after everything, they made her laugh they are great. She is now 12 and no longer afraid to go to the dentist. I think everyone from the staff to the dentist are amazing.

We LOVE Dr. Athena! She is personable and down to earth with the kids, and rest of the staff are all so friendly and professional. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist!

The dentist and assistant we had were amazing with my daughter, especially because she doesn't like her face or mouth touched. They made it very quick and were understanding and patient.

I was frantically calling places because I noticed my Son had a huge abscess... They were the 7th dentist I called and they got us in the next morning! My kids dentist could not even work her in so I was thankful!!! My Son was so scared and the dentist and his crew were amazing!! We will now be going to that office!!

I would give Carus Kids a one star, but their hygienists and dentists there are great. They've treated our kids well for the past several years; however, their billing department is horrendous. We have had consistent dental insurance that covers routine cleaning, with exception to topical flouride, which is $20. Every six months, we pay the $20 (per kid) at each visit. For whatever reason, the Carus Kids billing department can't figure out how to properly bill insurance companies and is now threatening us with a bill just shy of $1,000. They say it's our fault, we remind them we have valid insurance that covers the cleaning, with exception of flouride, which we pay for at time of service. This has gone on for two years, now. Every time I've talked to them I am told to "not worry about the bills, we'll get the billing department to stop sending them." Sure enough, following month another notice comes. Each time they talk with my wife they threaten her with the full bill. We're done. They can eat that bill. I'll file a complaint with both insurance companies and the State of Texas. Edit: a couple weeks after being told that we would no longer receive bills for services and cancelling appointments to go elsewhere, we received yet another bill for over $400.

I was impressed with the way the staff treated my daughter. They explained everything to her in a fun way to where she was excited to get her teeth cleaned. Carus Kids is definitely somewhere your child will feel comfortable! I cannot say how happy we were with the visit, treatment, explanations, and cleanliness!

This dental office use to be great during Tricare Military Retiree Dental plan, but since we had to switched MetLife Military Retiree plan both the Carus Adult and Carus Kids dental office have been sending us bills, after our visits, even when we have to pay in office after performed services. Today MetLife informed us the reason is that some of the dentist are out-of-network and that they should have informed us.
