Dr. Cartwright earned his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005, proving his commitment to continuing education and excellence in the process. The Board Certification process is voluntary and is not required for an orthodontist to practice in the United States. To achieve this honor, orthodontists have to complete a written and oral examination, present previous successful cases and undergo constant reevaluation to ensure the highest of standards. The implications here are clear patients can trust their smile in Dr. Cartwrights hands without worry.
Despite Dr. Cartwrights excellent credentials, he couldnt do all of this without his dedicated staff. Our team features scheduling coordinators, treatment coordinators, assistants, and a billing and insurance coordinator who will be happy to help you navigate every step of the treatment process. They take pride in making this experience pleasant and rewarding for every patient!
Most major dental insurance plans will at least cover a portion of the cost regarding your orthodontic treatment. Dr. Cartwright has been practicing orthodontics for over 25 years in Southwestern Pennsylvania. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. During dental school, he was the recipient of the International College of Dentists Award for Outstanding Clinical Excellence. He received his degree in orthodontics from the University of New York, Stoney Brook in 1994 and received his Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Nikki began her career as a dietician in 1979 and has held several different jobs since then. Now with Cartwright Orthodontics, she especially enjoys chatting with the patients. She lives in Bethel Park. Nikki and her husband, Jack, have one son, Nick. In her free time, she enjoys reading, Jazzercise, traveling and spending time with her family.
Lisa is originally from North Huntingdon, and she completed her studies at Penn State University. She may have only joined our practice recently, but she is already a great fit. After all, her favorite aspect of her job is getting to meet new people!
If you have any billing or insurance questions, Lorrie is always the person to ask. She loves helping people, and shell make sure you know everything about the cost of your care. She brings over 20 years of experience to our practice in addition to a certification in medical administration, so you can trust that shell always have the answers you need!

Honestly we have never been to an office that is so friendly, knowledgeable, well run, & professional! The treatment from all staff was top notch. Two of our children have recently had their braces removed and our third is set to begin treatment in the coming months. Dr. Cartwright was recommended to us by our dentist. Since we began our orthodontic treatment with he and his team, we have recommended them to everyone that we know. We were impressed immediately with Dr. Cartwright's professionalism, his ability to explain to us exactly what was going to take place his very specific plan for treatment. He and his team are extremely knowledgeable, organized, prompt and welcoming. My children looked forward to each visit, excited to hear about their next stage of treatment. So happy we chose Dr. Cartwright for our daughter's braces. Theyl staff is friendly and responsive. While the office was closed during covid Dr. Cartwright was able to walk me through fixing something on her braces over the phone while he wasn't able to open. It was easy to reach them at either office and easy to schedule when we needed to see them.

Dr. Cartwright always gave a clear and concise description of the current or upcoming steps throughout the process of braces for my daughter (including two stages). He and everyone in the McMurray office were also extremely pleasant and helpful on every visit.
