Dr. Emily Carter grew up in Fyffe, AL where she attended Fyffe High School. Dr. Emily graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a bachelors degree in Biomedical Science, and she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Emily is active in the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is married to Dr. Jared Carter, whom is an orthodontist here in Rainsville and in Scottsboro. Outside of the office, Dr. Emily enjoys running/hiking with her husband and their goldendoodle, Charlie. She also enjoys traveling, water skiing and cooking. Erica Shell Financial Coordinator Erica was born in Boaz, AL and raised in Geraldine, AL. She graduated from Geraldine in 2008. Erica has over 5 years of experience in office administration and joined our team in 2018 as a Financial Coordinator. When Erica is out of the office, most of her time is spent with family. Shes and her husband, Blake, have been married for 4 years. They have a one year old daughter Rylenn and two fur babies. She enjoys quality time with her daughter, shopping and going to the beach!
Morelia Millan Dental Assistant Morelia was born in Torrance, California and was raised in Fort Payne, Al where she graduated from Fort Payne High School in 2014. After graduating high school she attended Northeast AL Community College where she took her basics; she then transferred to Wallace State Community College and graduated with an Associates in Applied Science in Dental Assisting in 2017. Morelia enjoys shopping and spending quality time with her family.
Katelyn Masters Dental Assistant Katelyn was born and raised in Albertville, Alabama. She graduated from Albertville High School in 2016. She then attended Snead State Community College to get her basics, then transferred to Wallace State Community College. Here, she graduated in 2019 with Magna Cum Laude honors and an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. Katelyn enjoys spending time with her fianc, Wade, and fur baby, Myla.
Victoria Jones Registered Dental Hygienist Victoria is a Rainsville native who graduated from Plainview High School in 2012. She then went on to pursue a degree in dental hygiene at Wallace State where she graduated in 2016. Since graduating Victoria has gained experience in general, pediatric, and special needs dentistry. She greatly enjoys being able to serve her community in these areas alongside Dr. Carter and her wonderful staff. Victoria still resides in the Rainsville area with her husband Ethan. They currently serve on staff at Nazareth Baptist Church in the youth ministry department. Apart from serving at their church Victoria and Ethan enjoy cooking, travelling, and spending time with family.
Jennifer Morgan Registered Dental Hygienest Jennifer was raised in Rainsville, Alabama. She graduated as valedictorian from Plainview High School. Jennifer attended Northeast Alabama Community College and then completed her hygiene degree through the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2002. She is married to Andrew Morgan and they have a son, Britt and a daughter, Jaycie. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.

I take all of my children here and when I can't imagine taking them to anywhere else! She is patient, takes time to explain exactly what she'll be doing, works so well with her assistants and has never not welcomed me into the room with them! She just recently did 3 fillings on my almost 5 year old and he was a CHAMP because she's so easy to work with. I highly, highly recommend taking your children here if you're looking for somewhere! We will never go anywhere else!

Dr. Emily and staff are by far the best around! They take their time explaining ever step of what they are doing and are so patient with both of my kids!! Also LOVE that appointment times are on schedule!! Overall they are the very best around!!

Everyone there is super friendly! The building is like walking into a friends home, so little ones aren't as nervous about being at the dentist. Highly recommend!

Good adult dentist but NOT a good child dentist. She doesn't like dealing with children who are afraid of the dentist. That's most children, even adults. My son is slightly autistic and has adhd and she flipped out because he barely touchd her face shield. He was uncomfortable and sometimes when he is nervous or uncomfortable he will touch things to break the tension. She didn't like that. Gave him a lecture about touching her stuff. He started crying because he was scared and she had already got him upset, so they held him down to finish. She would not reschedule him to be seen again for his next appt. Referred me to SPECIALISTS wayyyy out of the way which I refused to go to and I did NOT go to because I felt it was her, not him. We had it out with words and I left and never went back. Don't recommend sending children here if they are special needs or if they're the least bit scared of the dentist because she wont treat them, and will push them off on someone else because she says it's her business and she can see or refuse who she wants, with no sympathy at all. BY THE WAY, turns out he just didn't like HER because he's done perfectly fine with his other dentist. Maybe he could sense she isn't good with kids. Don't bother replying back. Won't make a difference.

We always have the BEST experience with Dr. Emily and her staff. I've been taking my daughter there since she was one year old and my other baby will soon be going in a few short months. They are so caring and have a wonderful way with making the kids feel comfortable and welcome. My daughter looks forward to the dentist and she is 5 years old now! We can't say enough good things about this business and I recommend this group to anyone and everyone! We love it so much, my husband and I go there as well and now my parents are patients!

I highly recommend Carter Family Dentistry! I really like the reminder text in advanced about when my appointment is. It helps me not to forget my appointment when life gets busy. Even if I need to reschedule, they do their best to make it fit my needs and respect my time. The staff is so friendly and very professional!

every one here is so sweet and the building and atmosphere is so beautiful and welcoming! they did such an amazing job with my 14 month old and I'm excited for her to go back in 6 months! I highly recommend this place!

We have been seeing Dr Carter for two years now. Dr. Carter is very patient and extremely knowledgeable. We couldn't ask for a better dentist. It's great to know that she will be in the area for years to come. Tiffiany is the best.. love having my teeth cleaned by her!
