Our dental office began serving families in the West Georgia area with comprehensive dental care when it first opened its doors in 1979. At the time, Dr. Peter Worthy was the only doctor serving patients in our office. Since then, weve continued to provide dental care to our community most recently with the help of Dr. David L. Vautin and Dr. David Forrest. Both of our dentists are proud to have made their homes in West Georgia.

In addition to our dentists, we have a team of dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff that empower us to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. While doctors and staff members have changed throughout the years, our commitment to quality hasnt wavered. But dont take our word for it you can tell just from learning a little bit about our patients.

Many of our patients have been coming to our dental office for years we serve many families and, as time goes on, their childrens families and so on. We genuinely care about our patients and do everything we can to help them with their oral health.

As time has passed, dentistry has changed. There are new procedures and new tools available that werent there decades ago. Weve continued to upgrade our dental tools to include the latest technologies, to create a more pleasant experience for our patients and well continue to do so as new technologies continue to emerge.

Dr. David Vautin graduated with honors from Houghton College in New York and then completed his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. For the past 27 years, Dr. Vautin has been caring for patients in West Georgia and surrounding areas, providing general, cosmetic, and prosthetic services. In addition to the standard procedures of fillings, crowns, and bridges, Dr. Vautin is trained in the placement of veneers; creating youthful, attractive smiles from worn and crooked teeth.

Cognizant of the coming change in demographics created by retiring baby boomers, Dr. Vautin has, over the last 27 years, continued his education in implant-supported tooth replacement. He has restored hundreds of smiles with single, multiple, and full-arch implant restorations. Together with Dr. Jeffrey Sherry, a prominent periodontal surgeon and Robin Johnson, a highly specialized implant lab technician, Dr. Vautin is the restorative leg of a triad team that provides Teeth-In-One-Day for patients in Georgia, and as far away as Florida and North Carolina.

Dr. David Forrest earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, GA. He was born and raised in a small town in western North Carolina, but has called Georgia his home since 2005. He attended the University of West Georgia and was awarded his B.S. in Biology, as well as a Masters degree in Animal Physiology. In his tenure at UWG, Dr. Forrest was a part of the national championship caliber cheerleading team in which he helped his teams win 3 consecutive national titles. He was faculty for a period of time before being called to his passion in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Forrest enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and remains very active with the ADA, the GDA (Georgia Dental Association), and is in pursuit of his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He really focuses his efforts on comprehensive care and prides himself on delivering the most thorough, gentle, and quality care that he can. Some of his main clinical focuses are cosmetics, surgical procedures (including extractions and bone grafts), implant restorations, crowns/bridges, and removable prosthetics (partials and dentures). He also has further advanced training in sleep medicine and non-surgical TMJ treatment.

When Dr. Forrest is not treating patients, or taking his countless continuing education courses, he loves spending quality time with his new bride Kelly or training for adventure races. They love to travel, go camping, and ride their bikes all over the country. At home, hes quite the handyman teaming up with Kelly to tackle home improvement projects around their new house.

Since Tanya is a newer member of the team, shes enjoying getting to know many of our patients. She loves helping people, so its no surprise that one of her favorite parts of working in the office is seeing how happy people are when they get major dental work done and get the results they wanted.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys spending time with her husband, two grown children, two dogs (Daisy and Trixie) and her friends from high school also known as the Ya-Yas. She also enjoys being involved with her church and reading a book on the beach. One of her favorites is The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman.

Lisa loves getting to know the patients and being able to help them and she loves working with our team, what she calls her work family. She can see that each and every doctor and team member cares about our patients and tries to make them feel at ease and content when they are in the office.

Whether Lisas gardening organic vegetables, hunting, riding 4-wheelers or working on her tractor she loves to do it all with her family. She even harvests her own chicken eggs and sells them to local restaurants and vendors! In addition to spending time outdoors, she also enjoys reading Angels Walking by Karen Kingsbury is one of her favorites.

Loris career in dentistry began 24 years ago. She took a chance, interviewed for a position with a dentist, and he hired and trained her as a dental assistant. She worked her way up the ladder, eventually becoming the chief operations officer and human resources manager for a dental management company. For the past 15 years, shes been managing the day-to-day operations of Dr. Vautins dental office.

Lori takes care of accounts receivable, employee training, managing staff, and serving as a problem solver when a new challenge arises in the office. Through it all, her favorite part of the job is the people she loves to see how a patient in need of a treatment is led through the proceed of diagnosis, planning, and treatment.

When she isnt managing the office, she loves spending time with her family outdoors especially riding 4-wheelers in Tennessee. Lori also enjoys a good book one of her favorites is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.

Allison has been working as a part of our dental team to care for patients dental health most of all, their smiles for over 20 years. If you come in to the office for a dental cleaning, periodontal charting, sealants or fluoride treatments, chances are Allison may be the person providing your care. She also enjoys educating patients on proper oral health techniques so she not only works with you in the office, but also helps you learn better ways to care for your smile at home!

Unlike some children, Allison always enjoyed going to the dentist and as she grew up, that turned into a career goal. She received her education at the Medical College of Georgia, and now shes been in dentistry for over 20 years all of them with Carrollton Dental Solutions. Why so long with the same practice? She loves getting to know her patients and helping them make the most of their smiles.

Denise has been a part of our team for nine years, and in dentistry for a total of 22. As one of our dental hygienists, she removes hard and soft deposits from teeth to reveal your best smile. She also takes radiographs and oral cancer screenings, and reviews health history and proper dental health techniques with our patients. Educating patients on how to care for their teeth and gums is what she loves most about her job.

Denise worked in a dental office for four years as a dental assistant and liked it so much she wanted to further her knowledge and skills. Thats what led her to complete the dental hygiene program at West Central Technical College and pursue her bachelors degree at Georgia State Perimeter College.

When she isnt sharing her dental health knowledge with our patients, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, family, and friends. She enjoys camping and kayaking, and reading a good book 23rd Psalm by Mitchell H. Warren being one of her favorites.

Her love of dentistry began when she was a teenager she loved the one-on-one attention she received from her dental hygienist. Shes spent the past 21 years with our dental office reviewing patients health histories, performing oral cancer screenings, taking radiographs, removing hard and soft deposits from teeth, and teaching patients oral health techniques they can use at home.

Sheila enjoys giving patients advice on how they can improve and maintain their overall dental health, and presenting new ideas and products. She keeps up with the latest dentistry trends through her American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA) membership.
